I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

I've gone to the gym to avoid it. Come on Leicester.

What's the charity shield on??

BT Sport 2. Still can't get my head round Leicester being champions but they've been the better side so far.

Well done Fellaini ????

Holding starting for Arsenal in their friendly against City on ITV.

Pre season friendlies on terrestrial TV at prime time?!

Its fucking sad isn't it. I cant believe anybody other than an Arsenal or City fan would have the slightest interest at all

Not sure if you can blame holding for that one even if aguero was his man

I see Pep Guardiola has gone all Hoolie in his Stone Island jumper.

Far cry from waiting till Monday to read the one line about how Bolton did on their tour of Scotland a couple of pages in from the back of the BEN.

They say these games are meaningless then give it the full treatment, sending commentators abroad and a full studio analysis at HT/FT.

Not exactly Barca's 1st team, some key players not playing like Neymar and Alba and a lot were on the bench, Liverpool played well though, great pressure on the ball, very much like the Barca under Guadiola,

scousers bringing the entertainment earlier than ever this year.

It's like poking an angry Jack Russell in a cage with a stick.

Serious injury to Gabriel by looks. Another step closer to holding starting next weekend ££££

Southampton cap all away tickets at £20 for next season.

Bang on.

Some prices that have been charged for away fans over the years is verging on criminal, although even though the away ticket prices are currently capped at £30, does this mean that the likes of Arsenal will just reduce the amount of away tickets that are available, as they can get away with charging their home fans more than £30?

I also expect that clubs will soon also put on free travel to all away games (naturally, you can only have a ticket if you travel with the club)........

The Premier League teams, in reality, can actually afford to let fans in for nothing, the problem that arises is when they have to change/increase their pricing structure when they get relegated......although as it'll soon be a closed shop with no relegation or promotion anyway, I don't suppose it'll be relevant.

It fucks over the non-league clubs who have to charge £10 to keep running.

It's all part of the master plan, which is to supress football at the lower levels..............we're already seeing the start of this by the fucking about with the Sherpa Van Trophy, next thing there will be "B" teams in the league, which pushes the smaller teams even further down the pyramid. Also the creation of EPL 2 will happen, which will eventually get rid of promotion/relegation into the top two divisions
