Exactly, it was all about getting off the payroll as quickly as possible when we sold him - having said that, I'd be surprised if Palace manage to turn any sort of profit on him anyway. My Palace supporting mate still reckons we ripped them off at £500K

I's be surprised if we get anything for debut, I would have thought it'll be after a fixed amount of appearances. It will be good to see how he plays against a decent attack in a PL game.

Often there's a payment for first game especially if Arsene saw Holding as being brought in for the development side.

I know that's usually the case, but with Arsenal always, and I mean always, playing reserves and youth in the Carling Cup, I wonder if they might change a first payment to 5 games or something.

 

Anyway, no matter how much it is or isn't, people will still claim it's not enough. You would though hope that KA knows what he's doing and we are nicely loaded with add-ons, and hopefully a large percentage of sell on as well (although if he does prove to be decent, he may never leave Arsenal)

One and three for me. Can't give free kicks like that in the prem. Number 3 he let his man get across him numerous times away last season, fortunately for him there were only ever about 300 to 500 Bolton fans there to see

First one, was his fault. Shows his lack of experience. Get punished at this level.

I think this is the biggest problem for Rob, with a solid experienced CB alongside him it would be a much less harsh introduction to the Premier League

Always been quick to be fair to him, if you watch the highlight videos he looked rapid.

 

I thought the freekick was soft as anything, it's going to get given because he's Brazilian and it's the Prem but in reality you can't blame him when he barely brushed the bloke's shoulder. Third you could say he was a bit slow on the uptake with but in fairness it's a cracking ball and I don't think you'll find many that could have done much about it.

 

Harsh debut for him but I wouldn't say he was in any way to blame for the overall result, Wenger is losing the plot though.

They were expecting to challenge for the league with Koscielny and Gabriel as centre backs with Mertersaker as back up.

Chambers and Holding might have got a game in the league cup.

Gabriel and the big german lump are injured and Wenger rested Koscielny after the Euro's.
