re: Hall - would trust David Lee to know when he's ready or not, regardless of age, he's 19 - how many other 19 year olds play regular on this league?

 

of those above I considered making it, they made their debuts:

 

hunt - 17 (though he didn't become regular till 20, but it didn't do him any harm)

nolan - 17

holden - 20

holding - 19

clough - 19

vela - 18

basham - 20

 

think there's enough "evidence" there to not be shy about introducing a 19 year old into the first team squad - assuming the staff think they are ready and it's not just to try something different, which is what most people I'd say are wanting when they call for a young lad to be played

Came away from that last away game at Sheff Weds a few seasons ago under Douglas thinking we'd be storming the league the following season led by a team half filled with a sweet batch of home grown.
