That Goals Show is the only bit of Champions League I’ve watched (or needed to watch) for the last two seasons. Imagine the state of attendances if Soccer Saturday could actually show the goals as they go in rather than Phil Thompson’s fat schnozz.

In fairness I think folk have understood the dangers of boxing for a while.

Although there's been some anecdotal evidence over heading the ball, maybe science is now catching up.

 

Heading the ball is already banned in junior football in the states.

It's banned at Premier 5s as well. Not to protect the header of the ball but because the ball can't go above head height. I think even a diving header is banned.

I always enjoyed five aside when no overhead allowed. Far better game.
