Can anyone remember a Bolton player scoring  from their own half?

Bergsson vs Barnsley and Campo v Spurs were quite a way out, Craig Davies scored from far out in an empty net.

Jim mcdonagh

I was there v Burnley and my memory is telling me he hit it from Embankment, took a bounce and went over the keeper at Lever End.

Another thing I remember about Jim is his blue shirt. Most keepers wore green in those days.

Had this conversation before  but can't remember anyone confirming owt

Hugh Curran once scored a header from 40 yards, or seemed like it as a nine year old!

Aye, headed it harder than madine kicks it

Remember allardyce hitting one from 35 plus against orient

Cantello v Cardiff, 6- 3 I think

Jim wore both blue and green but mainly blue

Saw the goal but can't remember any detail

We sneaked into the changing rooms in the late 70s and my mate nicked a dirty blue mcdonagh top was a thing of beauty.

We used to have to back our exercise books at school

One of mine was adorned with a blue shirted mcdonagh...probs from shoot or match

Handed it in once and didn't get it back

Teacher denied ever having had it

Couple of weeks later was called to staff room and really couldn't think what I had done

Anyway, he just wanted to give me it back, autographed by mcdonagh

City 96th minute winner

Ended up going to the City game last night as a mate had a spare ticket and the winner was an absolute pearler. It was always going to take something special to win it though as Southampton just whacked ten men on the edge of their own box once they’d equalised, couldn’t be doing with watching that every week. Piss poor atmosphere and all and for some reason you had to go outside for the bogs. Padded seats were comfy though. I know plenty have said it before but it really wouldn’t bother me if we never played in the Premier League again save for the odd season for novelty value.

As a footnote, my phone initially corrected ‘pearler’ to ‘Pratley’.

Wasn't Barry Siddall often seen in Blue as well?
