It was a cup game so they probably turned out a good few more than the average. I would think 10-14 thousand away from home for cup games was easily doable for Bolton back then I'm sure I was in the big paddock down the side and sure it was all Bolton from memory most of their fans were in the end behind the net wasn't it called the cowshed and again from memory think there was more Bolton than Hudds on the ground. December 15, 201411 yr I was at the game with my dad and uncle. We where in the big paddock down the side and it was packed. Think Bolton had the open end behind the goal has well. Can remember it taking ages to get away after the match due to the large number of coaches. We drew Newcastle in the next round if memory serves me right.
