Thought Ream and Dervite were immense at the back. Bogdan looked every inch a premier league goalkeeper.

 

Vela and Danns were excellent in midfield. Vela shows a lot of composure for his age. He's gonna be a top player that lad. If freedman was still here vela would of probably left Bolton in January.

 

Without a Clough/Chungy/Clayton type we lacked that little bit of creative spark to create any real chances. Hopefully Clough should be fit enough for the replay.

It's only natural to do it I know, but let's not heap too much pressure on Clough just yet.

 

Granted, he looks the part, but look at Barklay at Everton - not brilliant every time and looks like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders when he's below his best.

 

I'd stick with Heskey and Eidur for the first hour still.

I feel sorry for the plastic scousers seduced by the 80s success they come from far and wide hoping and praying that the past glories will return they've not a clue about supporting a proper club a local club the ups and the downs. I watched them sat on there hands gazing misty eyed at our incredible passion and support (they don't get it) and there eyes and souls were empty devoid of any feeling for the game folk from Milton Keynes, Wrexham, Barrow, Preston and dare I say it Bolton divorced from there community sharing some pathetic quest for glory, watching a club that really they have no connection with only some diminishing past glory that somehow makes them feel worthwhile. Sad as fuck.

I made the decision to walk back to Lime Street after the match (cheap bastard). It was only when we got to Goodison I realised we were walking in the wrong direction! Plenty of Wanderers in that wetherspoons when we got back, almost an hour after ft.
