Zico Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 doesn't make it right zico. Anyway each to their own. Let's just hope we see this season out and hopefully rebuild in the summer. A lot of work still to be done for Lenny and co. Youre only 16 posts in Give it time You'll see plenty that should be removed before that Probably before you get to 100 Search for "lemon party" And stay away from gonzo Quote
radcliffe white Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 So putting this Dan thing to bed; Had ticket, wrong train, asked to pay £59.50 and said 'I'd rather jump out of the train window (jokingly) to the really fit and young ticket inspector. Had been asked to get off at Leicester and wait 2 hours for the right train rather than stay on an empty train so hid in the toilet. Just came out 10 mins early before we arrived on London, That's it. Photo was taken as the two of them were having a bit of banter. That's it, Dan's a good lad who makes the effort to attend all away games and is learning the way of the world in terms of beer, banter, football, beer, banter, home. To those of you who slag of a fellow Wanderer who shows more dedication to the cause than the vast majority of you, you should be ashamed if you know how events occur on an away day. If you think you're right to criticise then maybe a BWFC forum is not the place for you. Political correctness and football banter do not mix. well said Quote
SoberDan Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Cheers Thorpey, it's nice to know that some who have met me don't think I'm a complete nob. Every person on this forum has done something silly at one time or the other and all of you have gone through spells of bad behaviour at some time in your life. Quote

Youri McAnespie Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 (edited) Lad's just catching up for lost drinking time, I think it's admirable he's gone from a teetotaller to someone who writes of "30 can minimums" in such a short timespan... Then again I'm a pisscan who's made a disgrace/public spectacle of himself on numerous occasions. Edited February 22, 2015 by Youri McAnespie Quote

If you are that bothered what people on here think about you then either do multiple edits of all your posts or not post the stuff in the first place. Quote

Nothing to do with 'political correctness' whatever that is but acting the cunt with the ticket inspector is out of order. Dan is a big lad and was leathered walking into the ground yesterday, so Lord knows what state he was in later. No idea what you look like but do you really think she was 'enjoying' your 'banter' ? You've got away with one, be careful Quote
Bigtoe Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Hardly the worst thing a football fan did on a train this week Aye. Even having a wank in first class is frowned upon these days. Madness. Quote

jules_darby Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Yer not wrong there, DanI beg to disagree; personally I have never been inebriated at the football or misbehaved Quote
White on Tyne Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Now I'm not one to judge peoples' behaviour or drinking habits and will not criticise anyone from making the effort to travel round the country to watch the Whites. I find it hard enough myself to travel from the North East. But what has really riled me about this thread is that rules have been broken. Serious rules. I don't mean the jibbing of tickets or threats of jumping from trains, but there have been numerous mentions of photos being taken of the female train guard and not one of them has yet been posted. If you think you're right to criticise then maybe a BWFC forum is not the place for you. Political correctness and football banter do not mix. Sorry, mate, but I think that's bollocks. Nobody has ever criticised Dan's dedication to the BWFC cause. They have, however, passed comment on some debatable behaviour, end of. This is a forum and forums only work if other people pass comment on stuff that has been posted. The story of what happened got posted on a public forum and is, therefore, open to debate. If you can't see that, then maybe forums aren't for you. Or don't post stuff you don't want discussing. Quote

SoberDan Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) Don't get me wrong my actions on Saturday were appalling, but if anybody on this forum can hand on heart say that they haven't woken up one morning and thought "I was a bit of d*ck yesterday" then I feel for you. As those who have met me know I'm actually quite tame compared to some of you who have done things I wouldn't dream of doing, do I frown on it no because I realise that when your young(or old), male(or female) and intoxicated(by choice) you do things that you would find stupid when sober. TBH from what I am aware the majority of you who have met me have positive things to say about me and I can honestly say I haven't met anyone from here who I have disliked. Just a thought but most people on here have times when their jobs are horrible, when it's difficult and stressful, for me it's at the start and the end of the month when 100s of invoices get sent to me, that need putting through our various systems, along with a monthly statement to complete and 300 direct debit payments to log a day and a fresh new wave of aged debt is ready to be chased, often 100s of customers. In the same respect while it would have been better had the ticket lady not had to put up with my and Thorpey's behaviour it is sadly a hazard of the job, that on a Saturday night anybody working on public transport or in the emergency services or in the hospitality industry is going to have a more difficult time then early afternoon on a Thursday. While my actions were unacceptable I honestly believe it was no different to what that girl has to put up with usually on a Saturday night. The difference is unlike other people in her role who like to have a peaceful time when the life sis getting difficult she was determined to fight it and didn't do herself a lot of favours, in the same way I would be more likely to let a small debt slide for a few weeks at the start or end of the months then I would in the middle of the month when my work load is less. Personally if I was in her shoes I wouldn't have behaved in the way she did, in the same way she wouldn't act in the manner I did. Remember I am customer who pays a lot of money each year the train companies and whether she likes it or not without mo*gs like me willing to pay inflated prices she would actually be on the dole.
