He sells it cheap and his mates in the city will rake it in. Just like they did with Royal Mail.

It's so fucking blatent and they still get it away with it.

For mates in the city read ordinary punters like me, pension funds, investment trusts etc.

It is playground level Class War BS like your post that has pushed me away from the left.

Time to debunk some of the myths about the Royal Mail sell-off.

Firstly, at the time the price was set the American budget was in very real danger of not being passed, which would have depressed share prices world-wide had it not been resolved at the eleventh hour. hence the issue price had to be cautious. Delaying the launch even further was not a politically acceptable option

Although this is a fact it is not one the government is disposed to mention as it would embarrass the Americans, who are inclined to brush their budget crises under the carpet..

Secondly, the agreement to hold shares for a period was in exchange for accepting the risk of the shares not launching at a profit (see, for example, Trinity Group Newspapers, launched on a tissue of lies by former Labour MP Robert Maxwell). Once the launch was successful the requirement for a body of underwriters to hold onto their allocations was unnecessary.

I agree the shares were incorrectly priced, but not for any of the reasons I have ever seen given anywhere.

Embarrassing isn't it.

RBS shares are freely traded on the stock market, so if they're obviously worth the 7bn more Labour paid (a price dictated by how much money RBS required to remain solvent, not by what it was really worth) then the trade union movement should just spend it's pension fund on RBS shares and let the good times roll, surely?

They are spending their money on supporting Corbyn!

You have no idea how the markets work if you think your couple of grand makes a difference. It's the hedge funds that will rake it in from this and that has fuck all to do with you playing stockbroker. It's Sunday league and premiership. But crack on all the same.

Not really. Look at the largest investor in the Royal Mail float after the government. Not a pension fund or owt. I'm all for the little folk and pension funds coining it in. But make no mistake the big winners are and will always be the hedge funds.

So we agree little folk like me chucking in £750 pretending we are the Wolf of Wall Street and the pension funds are ok. So to complete the set what about those class traitors saving a bit in stocks & shares ISAs?

No problem with that either. You totally misunderstand me. I never mentioned class traitors. If I'd had spare cash I'd have filled my boots too. Be fucking stupid not to given the price.

But like I said we're inconsequential.  What's really going on is way beyond the likes of you and me.

Will do straight after I have evicted that single parent family from a buy to let property I have.

We did an eviction this week. He reckoned we couldn't do it as he had a baby. He was wrong.

Are you channelling that Katie whatsherface, nb? You might have had your hand forced but whatever way you look at it, a babby with a cunt for a father is getting it's head down in a skip toneet. It's not a cause for public announcement...

well done hun. you must be so proud x

Proud? Don't be a sanctimonious dick. He must a proud father though to think he can live for free and steal from others because he's got a child.

He's got a council house now so he can sponge off them.

Maybe they can move in with you then?

Thought not.

Exactly. I am not proud (ridiculous statement) , I was angry about it though so jumped on the back of whites man's tongue in cheek comment. They have caused my family upset, money and time not to mention the tax payer as he'd spent his rent benefit on something other than rent.

I'm not sure what's worse, the tenant or the clowns who think we should let these people live for free.
