I know there's one or 2 involved in the financial sector and think Hazzy is a FA but don't want detail advice just any tips on best way to take a pension contribution from my employer, would it be better them paying into a company fund or straight into one of my existing pensions? Also want to chip in some more pension from my own salary again best into existing pension or into company scheme? Company pension is not up and running yet but the company said they'd hold my contribution to one side and then pay it in as and when the pension fund set up. Thanks in advance.

You can pick up a whole street for less than £200k in many of the northern 'slum landlord' areas so I'm not sure how the Rackman's of this world are driving prices up.

There are streets in Leigh where prices have gone down because landlords have bought up stock and filled them with romanian gypos and workshy filth forcing out the decent working folk who don't want a street full of dogshit, furniture, and police vans outside their homes.

 

You can still get a decent starter home for not a huge amount though, certainly comparable with renting.

I have never chased money on the housing ladder, but our lass pointed out this morning we have over £200k equity in our house, plan is to sell when the kids move out and fuck off round the world, no way would be able to do anything if we had rented.

One of my pals had to drop £20k off the asking price off his house in Tomlin Square, Tonge Fold because the immediate area around it has gone to the dogs, buyers loved how nice his cottage is but the roads around it have privately rented terraced houses with the same kind of folk in them. He's lost what he's paid in mortgage payments in the last 5 years and it's only a £80k house.

That is what is so wrong. Placing these people in towns like Bolton and Middlesbrough is just adding to the problems these towns already have. Why not the affluent South East or in particular Islington?

If my business was housing asylum seekers I wouldn't be housing them in Islington or the South East to be honest.
