Trying to think last time I went to Oldham.

Think it was towards end of championship winning season 97 and we drew 0-0.

I've got no recollection of us playing them at home that season though....any ideas?

Didnt go to the vaz te cup match

remember the league game at home on tv,busby had died and there was a few chanting through the silence

I have come to the conclusion Lennon is keeping the fans and players feet firmly on the ground this pre-season as he has used our creative players so sparingly I think expectations have never been lower for many years but I have sneaking feeling if we get the likes of Clough and Mavies into the team that bit of creativity will make a massive difference to our performances and we might just hit the ground running for a change.

Mavies got a bang in Austria, Clough has a slight strain, Clayton a couple of weeks from playing and Wheater almost ready according to various interviews with Lennon.

None of them a particular worry. Hope that's the case

And Wheater ? And Clough ? And Clayton ?

Anyone know for sure ?

Wheater and Clough are training but considered to be coming back from their injuries still.

Clough has a strain that was picked up on a scan but should be back soon.

Mark Davies took a bang on the knee in Austria but is expected back soon....

After watching that clip a few things stood out.

We played some nice football at times around the Oldham box

If Derek weighted that punt upfield for a striker to get on to then he's a bloody good footballer.

Cracking finish from Feeney who needs an adequate back up this season so he doesn't end up running on empty again.

Towards the end 2 bad decisions from Twardzik and White lead to chances for Oldham.

I'm glad Twrdzik is at least 3rd choice at left back behind Ream and Moxey.

If Madine starts putting away some of these half chances, he could be a 15-20+ striker this season.

edit: I forgot how frustrating a post blocking your view can be...

Feeney could also bag 10 if he improves his finishing
