DaisyHillyBilly Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 how much do you think he's made? Fuck all obviously. It says so in the accounts. Quote
HomerJay Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Of course accounts can be manipulated but the cash has to be accounted for somewhere. Â Feel free to trawl through the accounts and find 150m+ which could have been paid to some form of 3rd party. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 He did not want to go he's being forced out the door. This the final straw for many. Shameful. If this is genuinely the case then I'd agree entirely. I'm just concerned that the journalism is making more of a shit storm than there is. The kid should not be put in such a position, especially as it might hinder the chances of investment. He should be given the option, but if he wants to stay then fuckin great. Surely going there isn't going to help his career and there are better options round the corner Quote

Ani Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 This fucking squabbling between fans about where the money has gone is stupid. Â It might be hidden away in a secret account, it might be we have spunked it on agents fees or we have paid the useless twats who wear the shirt far too much money, none of us know. Â The facts are that our assets need to be sold off to meet the liabilities we have to meet on a weekly/monthly basis. Â The club its history and traditions are miles bigger and much more important than whoever is currenlly passing through the team/management/boardroom. Â ED has been the owner of the club and financially is the only one who might be losing a fortune becaus of the farce we are seeing unravel. He may not have lost anything but why he would pretend to and then write it off would be strange. Â Most clubs in the world need to sell to survive, those that do it well and then use the money to buy the next ones well are the ones that are successful. Â Let's stop this petty point scoring and tribilisation that will only see the one constant in all this (the fans) divided. Quote
Ani Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) With regards Clough, the lad should only take a deal that is in his best interests. Â The club can not force him to go to Bristol City, he should do whatever is best for himself and his career. Edited January 10, 2016 by Ani Quote

Sweep Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 how much do you think he's made? I saw somebody on Twitter suggest that ED has made close to £500M in the last 15 years or so Quote

The club can not force him to go to Bristol City, he should do whatever is best for himself and his career.  The problem in that is he doesn't want to Leave but the club have accepted the bid which to all intents and purposes puts him in basically and untenable position and all for 2 million up front. Makes me sick to the stomach. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 piss and wind  as usual He's made nothing but he's not lost 185 million he's not skint what he's doing is indefensible. Quote

Sweep Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 what he's doing is indefensible. Perhaps he doesnt want defending. He might not give a fuck anymore. Quote
Whites man Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 There aren't many worse than us in the transfer market but Birmingham only got £3.75m from Leicester for Demarai Gray, the latest in a long list of young players they have got comparatively bugger all for. Quote
birch-chorley Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I can't see him signing  Doesn't have to and won't whatever Bwfc tell him  He will go onto someone better than Bristol before the months out Quote
no balls Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Perhaps he doesnt want defending. He might not give a fuck anymore. And hence why he's pulled the plug. We might not like it but he's not killed any babies. He might've killed our dreams but if no one wants to buy us and if true he's been trying to get rid for a few years now we need to just accept this and hope something happens to keep the club afloat. Maybe I'm being too fatalistic but other than trying to set up the trust to keep communication lines open, it really is out of our hands. Quote
Guest Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Clough's agent is probably negotiating as we speak  "If we save you, can we have an extra £50,000?"  We just don't know what is going on really Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 He has a contract with the club, they can not force him to go. If I was him I would not go, he will get better offers Neither would I but its only delaying the inevitable now the wheels are in motion. Quote
HomerJay Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Eh? How does it make his position untenable? Quote
Ani Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Neither would I but its only delaying the inevitable now the wheels are in motion. For his development moving to a club that is properly run and looking to invest in their future is in his interests. Â It is nice to hear that he wants to stay at BWFC (even if it a rumour) but he would be crazy to stay out a sense of loyalty in the circumstances. There is little security at Bolton he should leave. Quote
Guest Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Zach Clough; trying to work whether we boo him if he stays or if he goes? Edited January 10, 2016 by boltondiver Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Eh? How does it make his position untenable? Â He's a young lad should be protected by the club not a sacrificial lamb, the club accepted the bid how do you think he his parents and his advisors will feel about how he's been treated? His father tweeted he did not want to move yet the club didn't listen, he's as good as gone even if it's not Bristol, you won't see the lad in a Bolton shirt again. Quote
Rizlar Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Zac needs to wait for a better club then go. Quote
HomerJay Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 If he doesn't agree terms, and doesn't get sold elsewhere, he will play Tuesday. Â The club is bigger than any player isn't it? Quote
