Nixon reckons Liverpool confident in Bogdan joining them. Also says he can't understand why the Morgan deal not been completed.

Is it because he's still under contract with his current club? Or is that too obvious?

If we get Morgan and make him captain, we should look to bring Coke back too.

We can't afford Amos FACT

 

With regard to " potential" investment, the longer the summer goes on and nothing resolved, the less time NL has to use said (possible) investment cash. Deals with players can be put into place and initially agreements made, but not signed until 1st July. This will affect the players NL can target, the money we offer current players on new deals and more importantly the stock / value of he club.

 

Surely the "investors" as business people, would want BWFC to have the best chance of success next season for potential returns, and so would want this done early to allow NL time to build a decent team/squad.

 

The fact that one of our better midfielders is being strongly linked with QPR(FFP bomb waiting to happen) and Ipswich, the man the NL refers to as a giant, tells me there ain't no money coming.

 

Pre-season starts three weeks on Monday. Tick tock tick tock

 

Then we'll get our annual, "we'll go with what we've got(have left)"

I must agree, I can't see that we'll be able to afford Amos......unless some cash does magically appear.

We need to move on and quickly. The lads we've offered a contract too need to sign now or we move on and the offer gets removed. Can't afford time wise to fanny about with average players (and a good keeper)

If we can afford to offer 18k for Bogdan I think we could easily satisfy Amos demands, regarding Pratley another one I wouldn't be worrying about at 16k  a week I am sure we can find as good a replacement for similar or less money.

Short term , we can. Long term, we can't.

 

Too many variables on the short term that makes it a risky strategy.

 

I'd go with Amos on 10k a week rather than Bogdan on 18k. Same strategy less financial risk.

On the face of it we can't but you know BWFC all is not always as it seems.

even next season when we've got the parachute subsidy, i think its too big a percentage and the following season, itd kill us

Apparently Dougie wanted Bogdan too, so much for not wanting to sign ex players etc. I wouldn't be surprised if Dougie tries to sign Amos now, but I can't see Amos signing for 10K a week at Forest.  I'm still confident we can sign Amos.

Unless he wants or can get more elsewhere. He's a young English keeper available on a free transfer, somebody may be willing to take a punt and offer a higher wage, knowing he could have a resale value in 2 years time

I know it has been asked already but why was Lonergan not offered a reduced deal? That is the bit I don't understand.

in two seasons, if we havent been promoted, under current ffp rules, our total outgoings have to be about 3.5 million plus allowable losses

 

if our owner says we're running it to turn a profit, then 3.5 million it is

 

even if we only had a first team, lets say 18 players, its only 4 per week per player
