I was most impressed by "even if the money situation doesn't improve we have a list of 3-4 lads who we are close to agreeing with" (or something like that).

Good that. He's talking a good closed season. If we can in fact get the 3-4 mystery lads we'll be laughing.

As much as I like Mark Davies, selling him just makes sense. Get £4m, buy ALF for £1m and a bit and loan Hooper, sign up Pratley and maybe Pringle, and that's an attacking force that's capable of winning the league when you throw in Clough and Clayton as well...

We will never get 4m for Mark Davies. Be lucky to get 1m to be honest - he's been out far too much over the past couple of seasons.

 

At 1m, I'd keep him and hope he hits some form and keeps injury free, selling him next summer.

Mark Davies might just scrape us £1M if we sold him, his injuries have put paid to him have any sell on value for us sadly. It's a shame he's made of glass, as on his day.....

Possibly 4 is pushing it but I'd want at least 2... Don't forget this is the team that spent £7m on James McArthur. 

I'd snatch their hand off for 2 million. The days of players like Mark Davies being the answer to our problems are well behind us. We need cheap and less injury prone players who can do a job. They probably won't have the same quality as MD but at least they'll play more games.

I'd take £1.5 million for Mavies, Lennon could sign two decent players for that kind of money and pay them both Decent salaries too. Mavies must be on close to 20k a week.

Any money for any of our players is going to be vital at the moment.

Spot on. I would be gutted to see him leave, but if it's best for the squad so be it.

People see him as an attacking midfielder, completely discounting the fact that he does get up and down the field fairly well.

 

When he plays, I often see him tracking back, being the last midfielder before the defensive line. Cue the smart arse dickheads saying how I only watch highlights and I don't go to the game, perhaps using the word "skew" or "do you see that on the radio?" etc.
