stevieb Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I suppose you could divided 1.7 billion by 365 may be that will be close It was more a jab at overseas (I think, apologies if not) who spent the run up to the general election shoehorning the fact it costs us 34m a day to be in the EU into every thread on here. overseas Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 1.3 million a day. This 1.7 billion is a backdated i.o.u. over 20 years and is on top of this years. Quote

overseas Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 You've started him off now! To be honest, since I started Yoga and Meditation I have been able to cope with it. Whereas before I would gasp like a Fish at each fresh outrage, I now pour myself a pot of Tea. Quote
bgoefc Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 We have always been net payers into the EU. However the counter argument is that our funding of part time French farmers ( who used to receive £1000 per month for some chickens and a pig in their back garden) is worth it because they wouldn't buy our financial services and or commercial goods without this "bribe". My view is if Margarets free market is all its cracked up to be ....and these goods and services are good enough, would they not buy em anyway? Quote
Smiley Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Down with our government for not donating a trillion £££s to the Chilean earthquake appeal. Oh hang on, wrong religion. Quote

frank_spencer Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Down with our government for not donating a trillion £££s to the Chilean earthquake appeal. Oh hang on, wrong religion. Less to do with the religion more to do with folk only giving a shit if it's on their doorstep. Most of the folk in outrage about the treatment of the refugees didn't give a flying fuck about them when they were still in the middle east. Even around the date this thread was started the majority probably thought 'poor bastards' and carried on posting about the Khardashians latest attention grab. If it comes out that a bus load of school kids from Cambridge were hurt or killed in the earthquake then Britain will start to give a fuck. Quote

no balls Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 The Calais problem is still there but the media seem to have gone quiet on that. They're still trying to get into this country. I've just seen a touching video of a load of poor women and children fleeing some war torn country we have ruined who've dressed up as African men marching through what I think is Calais Quote
