Coal mines will reopen in the future in Britain, been mining the stuff for 200 years and only got 5% of the reserves. More coal in the UK than N America.

I have said this before but giving the Tories a safety net of a guaranteed win is a horrendous idea. I fail to grasp this idea you have about them being all singing and dancing. However, he does not have to overturn any of the last conservative vote. Given the low turnout of the last election, he only has to appeal to the 18 to 30 year olds and the great unwashed, who normally can't be arsed to vote who Osborne is going out of hiss way to hammer and we could wake up to a nasty shock on the 8th May 2020. Throw in the normal unpopularity of a government of 10 years and it may well happen. Also bringing out all these skeletons with nearly five years to the next election gives him plenty of time for them to be old news by then.
