Brighton, Reading and Brum all appointed managers about the same time as us I think. Brum got the pick of the bunch in my opinion.

Gary Rowett has done a fucking brilliant job at Brum. Didn't Rowett get the job after Brum got twatted 8-0 at home to Bournemouth? He's got a win ratio of about 47%. I don't think he's spent much/if any money. could be wrong, but Rowett is destined for the Prem IMO.

Surely the point about conceding late, late goals is that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I think he's also "bought" his easy ride so far by his manner, his work in the community and the obvious passion. He also doesn't seem deluded....we may not agree with all his decisions but he's certainly on the same page as the fan base

 

It won't last forever though as you rightly say

If (and it's a big if) he turns it around, he will attract players, media attention and a lot of positives

 

For me I'd stick with him for the next couple of years almost no matter what to be honest
