September 8, 201510 yr One question missing, does this mean no post 20-20 music at Old Trafford next season?
September 9, 201510 yr I like Moyles , or I did when he was fat. Johnny Vaughan sounds like he is pissed on Talksport and he is shit.
September 9, 201510 yr One question missing, does this mean no post 20-20 music at Old Trafford next season? I reckon there'll be a breakaway Manchester radio station sooner rather than later with the redundant DJs. No doubt there will be clauses to stop them.... but sure it will materialise.... a bit like the Sunday Sun.
September 9, 201510 yr ... but sure it will materialise.... a bit like the Sunday Sun. The Sunday Sun started in 1919. You probably mean the The Sun on Sunday.

No doubt there will be clauses to stop them.... but sure it will materialise.... a bit like the Sunday Sun. James stannage can do the late night talk show. "I'll garrotte you with cheese wire, baby"

September 22, 201510 yr Author Tried Jonny Vaughan on my drive home last night and Moyles this morning. Lasted less than 3-4 minutes on either Absolute alehouse fodder
September 22, 201510 yr I heard yesterday, between 7 and 8, Moyles played a grand total of 3 records. So seeing as I really don't want to listen to some arsehole whitter on about themselves, I won't be listening ta very much
September 22, 201510 yr No reason to listen to anything except Radio 6. And the breakfast show chap is a Leyther

September 22, 201510 yr Tried Jonny Vaughan on my drive home last night and Moyles this morning. Lasted less than 3-4 minutes on either Absolute alehouse fodder Jumped in the car mid morning yesterday. Flicked on Vernon's show. It was playing Love Spreads by the Roses. Vernon said plenty more Roses stuff to be played each day to keep the Manchester contingent happy. Flicked on Vaughan about 6.30 last night. He has a game called "Beat Gary Busey". I got bored after 3-4 mins. I want to hear tales of people finding a fiver in some old jeans or a pound in a shopping trolley!! Back to Talksport and 5Live Edited September 22, 201510 yr by Smiley
September 22, 201510 yr Author No reason to listen to anything except Radio 6. And the breakfast show chap is a LeytherI like Keaveny; that's where I've gone on to in the mornings The minute he mentions lobby he's off though
September 22, 201510 yr I think I getting o.d, I only tend to listen to 5live or absolute 80s these days
September 22, 201510 yr I think I getting o.d, I only tend to listen to 5live or absolute 80s these daysAbsolute 80s is belting for a road trip sing along.
September 22, 201510 yr I think I getting o.d, I only tend to listen to 5live or absolute 80s these daysI only listen to the radio when I'm doing the washing up (now THAT'S getting old) and the DAB automatically switched to Absolute while XFM was off air before the relaunch. Seems a few of the old XFM DJ's have ended up on there, so that'll do for me. No Boon yet though.
September 22, 201510 yr i liked absolute 80s then after a while i started to wonder if they just had one 'now' album on a loop
September 22, 201510 yr http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/music/stannage-why-i-got-the-push-1074001 I remember Jasper Carrott saying he'd heard Stannage's phone-in while driving down the M6 after gigs. His story was that he heard that a bloke wrote in, asking for a pen pal and saying his hobbies were flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality, to which Stannage (allegedly) replied "You're flogging a dead horse there, mate".
September 22, 201510 yr i liked absolute 80s then after a while i started to wonder if they just had one 'now' album on a loop aye was the same with absolute 90s saw this about Radio X The brand new national radio station — which has replaced XFM — promises to play the "best fresh rock and guitar-based music across the UK" and was described in marketing material as "male-focused" for 25 to 44-year-olds. Regulars on the playlist will include Florence & The Machine, Mumford & Sons, Blur, Arctic Monkeys, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The Maccabees, Radiohead, Nirvana, The Smiths, Royal Blood, Kasabian, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Kings of Leon. so same as XFM then, just with different presenters will stick with Evans
September 22, 201510 yr Oh aye, Florence, that fresh rock and guitar based music that loads of blokes listen to.
September 22, 201510 yr So it's basically for people my age who can't be arsed looking up new bands anymore. Well, I'm in then.
