The problem is there were people saying this for years, & they got derided for it.

Your right, there are a number of people that are responsible but there's only ED left to point the finger at now, one has sadly passed, one has taken his money & ran, others took their money & said nothing.

And whilst there were those saying things weren't right, we were all being lied to by the club, it's ok it's all owed to one man , humbling levels of investment, blah blah blah.

Well unfortunately it's now coming out, as feared by some for years, it was all lies, the web has started to unravel & every week a new horror story came out on how bad it had really become.

The 'debt' was no longer the issue, the cash flow was & everything was mortgaged off or loaned to the hilt on stupid interest rates or terms.

Are you trying to suggest ED knew nothing about this? Because if he did he's culpable, if he didn't, he's culpable through stupidity. Either way he's culpable as I see it, unless he or someone comes out to explain why he's not.

So everyone else has fucked off like cowards (obvious exception of PG), but only ED has stuck around?

Could be he's the only one prepared to try and salvage the situation?

He has, as everyone likes to point out, more than enough money to just fuck off too. Maybe he cares too much and is doing everything left in his power to make amends? Perhaps he, more than anyone, knows he's overseen a fuck up and feels obliged to fix it as best he can?

Or maybe he's just a sadistic cunt wanting to squeeze every ounce of misery out of this. I dunno.

Odd if it is the remaining debt to ED that the FL don't like.

I'm much more comfortable if he leaves £15m in secured against an asset as it will help prevent a group buying the club for a £1 and selling everything they can.

I'd guess the FL are more bothered about the monthly funding deficit and how SS are going to meet that

Where? Show us.

Look it up yourself you contrary prick.

I for one.

And not forgetting your friend Anewman.

Do you need spoon feeding everything? Or do you not have a memory? Every year the accounts came out, a lengthy thread ensued, go back & look.

Why are we still talking about the debt that was racked up during the glory years??

The debt has absolutely fuck all to do with any of this.

The issue is a big whopping tax bill and the fact we operate at £1 million per month loss.

This has fuck all to do with Jay Jay Okocha, stoke semi finals or any other distant bastard memory. Nothing whatsoever.

The club as a business is a shambles that is on the verge of going caputt because it hasn't paid its bills and can't afford to run any longer.

We are not currently paying for the glory days. Nor are we struggling because of the debt. The debt has gone.

As a business the glory days may as well be a 100 years ago. They are totally irrelevant to any discussion about the current situation.

We are paying because the powers that be are running the club at massive loss and can't afford to run any longer at the current rates and hasn't paid it fucking bills.

The only people to blame for this are those that run the club.

I can't accept this fucked up idea that we all have to accept what's going on and crack on with things because how good things were ten years ago and how much ED paid for.

I'm not interested in any of that. It's been and gone and we have fuck all to show for it. Right here right now it's a fucking mess. And has been for a long time.

And there's only one set of people to blame.

You can criticise anything you want. Saying "I said he was going to be shite after I looked at his goalscoring record" requires evidence, otherwise you're just talking hindsight shite. Do you honestly think you know better than managers and scouts?

Is his goalscoring record prior to joining us not evidence? and it would seem I knew better about Elmander . and why is it hindsight if I actually thought when we signed him that he was shit? I'm not really sure what we are discussing / arguing about. I just think that signing players on massive contracts and the same players leaving for free after doing little inbetween is not good business for any club. Lots of variables in this I suppose including luck and judgement and I think we got it wrong. It is just my opinion on one of the reasons I would say we are in such a bad state now, more a review than hindsight I would say

I'm not sure he said it on here as he only joined this site 30th August 2009.........Elmander signed for us 27th June 2008

Of course he's stuck around.. he's the owner!!! He has no choice in the matter

The rest are just employees.

What on earth are you drinking tonight? Turps?

You're argueing for arguments sake now.

I get it, you think ED's some sort of saint because you had some jollies in Europe. I don't think he's a saint because potentially on Monday we won't even be going to another game.

There were 91 other clubs in the league that didn't buy Elmander.

That's true, but even after seeing how shit he was for us, Norwich still decided to take him on a season long loan.........although that was the same season that they signed Wolfswinkel for about £10M  -  fuck knows what their scouts were up to

Only one on here is too thick to remember, even though the same thick one argued with Anewman about it constantly.

If you're that bothered for proof look at your own history or use the search facility, I for one don't have to prove anything to the likes of you.

New word 'hindshite' :-)

It just amazes me that everyone seems to have been predicting this for 4/5 years yet only NOW are they pissing and whining.

Everyone at the club must share the blame, ED included.

But to lay the blame for it ALL with Davies is, and I repeat, ludicrous.

It's a complete fucking mess, I just wish everyone who was so certain this was coming all those years ago had protested at the time, maybe it wouldn't have happened.

Unfortunately, I don't have a crystal ball or cameras set up in the offices at the club so blindly assumed they knew what they were doing. I must be proper fucking thick.

Not thick at all. I felt the same up until recently but the place is a fucking shambles now

The cause is ED, PG et al, irresponsiblely overspent, with poor financial control.

The effect is the money dried up & we have a very realistic chance of going bang.

What's your cause & effect?

There were 91 other clubs in the league that didn't buy Mahrez. Or Djorkaeff. Or Bergkamp.

Who obviously, with hindsight, were shit.

Not relevant whatsoever.

would i be right in thinking that the FA will be closed for the weekend so does this mean that we are totally reliant on the outcome of the court case on monday ?

It wouldn't matter if the FA are/were closed all weekend

I am fucked off with this, why should Davies be pissing about asking for this and that like a child. He owned the club and they have fucked it up, why should he get anything whether he is owed 15m or 180m, couldnt care less. As mounts said, less of a care free let PG do what the fuck he wanted attitude and we wouldnt be in this mess in the first place. Loans from shark companies and starting to sell off everything we own and then try and shift the club on to some dodgy cockneys who havent got any money and wont even tell us who the fuck they are. Cunts the lot of em. This is a football club not a carpet shop / butchers etc ffs.

If ED had shown this much interest when contracts were being given out with no relegation clauses whilst we were appointing managers likely to get us relegated and I think we would be fine. I have my own small cafe and if I fucked it up royally then I lose out, I cant blame it on anyone else or ask anyone else to pay my bills.

Only months ago we were shelling out 2m on a new scoreboard followed by not paying the staff their wages. I dont see a happy ending to this

The scoreboard and the perimiter advertising hoardings were bought and paid for by the development association ( Lifeline/Goldline/Golden Gamble) not by the club. The Developmant association is a registerd charity and the money raised is ringfenced and can only be spent on projects like this ( and some of the training ground and academy stuff) by the trustees.

Copping out then. The fact is, nobody gave a FUCK about the clubs finances. It's only since Eddie stopped chucking money at it that certain folk have been throwing tantrums. And Anewman only ever complained about managers. Can't recall him ever predicting a financial apocalypse.
