Eddie has had some abuse these past few weeks, a lot of it unwarranted by idiots.

  • So a bloke who gave us £150million is asking that his contribution be remembered by naming a room after him. Not a stand or the entire stadium. A room.   He's also asking that instead of getting his

same here, am really not arsed, the finances were never in our control really

we've had the statement we wanted to explain why things have been so quiet

there's a new bloke been brought in who specialises with this sort of shit scenario

nowt changes on or off the pitch

that will only happen if/when ED is rid of the club

hopefully sooner rather than later

till then, business as usual

My only question is why go into Admin and get a 10 point deduction ?

As the seller ED does it benefit him ?

As the buyer surely a Championship club is better than a League 1 club ?

A club goes into Admin it owes money to someone it can not repay, so that is ED.

If he is selling the club before it goes into admin surely it is worth more without a 10 point deduction, he could sell off the assets now as owner.

I must be missing something, if Admin is now a worry,

I think Admin is just being mentioned as the fella brought in is an insolvency expert, but before he pushes down that route he will explore other options such as selling - I cant see any benefit in voluntary admin, and certainly ED wont action that - which is likely to only leave HMRC if thet are owed a shit load of cash or this Quick Quid outfit if we have defaulted

Is it possible for ED to put the club in admin, to wipe out the debts, and yet keep assets such as the stadium, car parks, academy, training ground until he can redevelop those assets. Meanwhile charging the club for use of said assets ?

Real question.

Can't see how he can pull the plug on debt to himself and retain the assets!!

Unless there's something in the structure that we don't understand

as above, its the loan shark loan that may be the issue

The irony

Talksport. Between now and when they go off air Hawksbey & Jacobs are doing a bit on the "takeover".

Wasn't worth the wait. Nothing new. Confirmed Amir not putting money in personally.

The word 'consortium' just conjures up an image of load of chancers coppering up.

Fuck that.

Call me greedy, but I want a sheikh or an oligarch.

where i'm at

Beggers can't be choosers is the way it's looking!

I just don't want us to go down.

I'd be quite happy to piss about in the championship whilst we get things in order and start breaking even.

Trouble is I think we'd only break even in league 1.

I can't shake off the feeling that somehow the club is being shafted. And that the 'new' club will still be hamstrung by lack of cash & assets.

I guess we'll soon see.

well, unless somebody comes in with big bags full of cash, how would that not be the case?

Are this consortium not just going to buy what's left when the fire sale has ended?

Unless someone comes in who is willing to lose plenty of their own cash then nothing is going to change at all really

I guess we we should have cut our cloth right back after relegation and not banked on getting back up

Saying that, we all thought we would bounce straight back up with a few additions

Even ANEWMAN had a bet on us not losing all season

keep saying it pal

it still seems difficult for folk to grasp

Having to spend only what you bring in isnt being shafted, its what many clubs have to do

So that means we would have to take a 10pt hit with immediate effect as well. Splendid.

No.

It's now 12.

Would the points deduction not be at the start of next season rather than straight away?

Not that I think it will happen.

Not that I think it will happen.

I think it depends at what point of the season it happens.

I'd rather BWFC be owned by the fans/community don't care what level that's at. If we're owned by some 3rd party unless they can throw 100s of millions at it I'm not that interested, someone with 10-20 million to invest does not take you forward.

I don't think any sane person actually thinks this consortium or whoever is going to come in and wave a magic wand and everything is going to be ok.

I think most folk just want something to cling on to,something to hope for.

I agree with the careful for what you wish for sentiment but the owner doesn't want to own us anymore and our chairman is too ill to be chairman.

Any change can only be positive IMO,no matter how little impact it has on the field. At least we will know what the fuck is going on.

Getting rid of us being £170m in debt every article I read will be a positive for me!

Living within our means, producing the odd player here and there would be heaven at this moment in time.... Whilst being mid table in the Championship

Are we a sleeping giant yet?

It's now possible we will have a long term strategy and some direction under new ownership. It's not only about money but admittedly it will be difficult without major player investment.

Worst case scenario would be new opportunist owners buying an asset on the cheap to promote their own interests without the club's values at heart.

Time will tell.
