Eddie has had some abuse these past few weeks, a lot of it unwarranted by idiots.

  • So a bloke who gave us £150million is asking that his contribution be remembered by naming a room after him. Not a stand or the entire stadium. A room.   He's also asking that instead of getting his

Seriously though, I wish Warburtons would move back in again, they have loads of bread to splash around.

Brett is not the boss.

They know the club and the town better than anyone and for that reason I doubt that'll happen. Must admit though it would be great to have a company like Warbys backing the club. Can't they put tuppence on a loaf for us.????

The giant crumpet stadium certainly has a ring to it.????

We've already got the muppets

How much do you reckon the Muppets and Stallone cost combined? A lot of loaves of bread that's for sure!

How much are The Warburtons (as a collective) worth, it must be in the hundreds of millions I would have thought. It's a shame they don't see the need to spunk all their "dough" away on us. Still, as Mounts says above, they know the town and the club very well, better than most, and probably realise that the good folk of Bolton generally aren't arsed about the club, therefore it really would be just chucking money away

Nixon keeps saying there is no deal close.

I think most of us don't really believe that there is a deal in the offing anyway

There isn't a deal in the offing. It's just a rumour to keep the club afloat until after Christmas so the club can sell shirts, calendars and other tat before going into administration in January.

The money they give go the Tory party would keep us going for quite a time.

They wouldn't be a round long term, only medium I'd of thought. We need a board that can steer the club through thick n thin !

Just think back, this entire scenario is based on a report from a page churn website and a report by the BEN based on just that.

Not one national has picked it up. If there was anything happening at least one hack would have been on it by now. Not just Nixon.

I think Nixon wouldn't be privy to this type of info.

Like I said last night, the only Boltonian I've not heard linked with this "consortium" is Fred Dibnah. The Onion of Vienna and Iles have made themselve look like massive twats.

I think Nixon wouldn't be privy to this type of info.

thats never stopped him before

anyway

what have we got now

dean holdsworth heads up sportshield

his partner is michael collins, a bloke from bolton who wears the company tee shirt on facebook and plays golf with a load of non entities

Obviously ex-players find out about takeovers first, then is it journos followed by hacks? - I'm confused as to the pecking order

Get well soon gartside

Is that the man that restructured Chelsea before Roman came in and was administrator for Portsmouth?

Get well soon Mr Gartside

Aye, get well soon Phil

It is him. Had lots of experience with struggling clubs.
