Rembrandt
Thats given me my first laugh since I saw the line-up last night. That was the idea. - we sure need a laugh or two. I did think it might be the Glazers and they'll load us with debt. Then I thought - oh, but hang on .......

Then I thought - oh, but hang on ....... The Glazers bought ManU to exploit a potential money-making asset. They had to saddle it with debt to gain control, and have been screwing the genuine fans at OT to the maximum, consistent with not quite extinguishing the goodwiil the name gains in many parts of the world. ED bought BWFC, whose modest debts threatened oblivion, backed an outstanding manager to the point where he realised a line needed to be drawn, and for several years has been seeking a buyer of the right ethos to take the club forward again. There are huge differences between the two.

Moderators Casino Posted October 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) that well known knocker of all things bwfc, the singing postman writes Lest this should be seen as an exercise in Davies bashing, it should be pointed out that his take over of Bolton in December 2003 offered the only viable paddle when the Whites were up the financial creek, with debts of £60 million and a state close to insolvency. However, that involvement came at a price. Chief executive Allan Duckworth said at the time that Davies’s loans to the club carried repayment costs “at a premium which reflects risk, which is high at a football club.” december 2003 being well in to sams era Edited October 21, 2015 by Casino

Site Supporter Cheese Posted October 21, 2015 Site Supporter Share Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) If we are already white, how can we lighten up? I have heard from a bloke in the pub that, if the takeover goes ahead, the Thai's are going to change the colour of our kit to "transparent".
