The word at the BWFC sportsmans dinner last night was that ED has now bypassed Gartside and was directly in talks with potential buyers possibly the Chinese consortium that pulled out of buying WBA recently.

Lost 1 in every 6 is he that good? Saying that wouldn't mind watching him.

Yeah he really is that good. Muay Thai is very different than boxing. Fighters don't go undefeated just because of the sheer volume of fights they have and there isn't the same significance attached to a loss.

Muay Thai is a betting sport in Thaliand so a normal fighter will have a 50% 50% win/loss ratio and still have a career. The nearer you can tip that balance in your favour the better. A bit like a football managers win/loss ratio I suppose.

You've also got to take into account that some of his losses were when he was fighting as a young lad - his first pro fight was as an 8 year old! He was Lumpinee champion at 15 :-)

He's been fighting the best in the world for the best part of the past 15 years. A lot of those were against foreigners where he's been giving away a lot of weight, just to take the fight.

He's 35 now so nearing the end of his career but he's been a hell of a fighter!

That'll be rubbish because why would he? If Davies is disaffected with Gartside, he'd sack him, not pay him X each month. A non story in an unfortunate situation where we are drifting

Gartsides employed and paid to run the club not sell the club.

And you think any prospective buyer wouldn't want to talk to the guy doing the day to day? Come on mounts!

His main role for quite a while has been to find a buyer.

(Remember DF's comment that he'd never known a chairman so far from day-to-day playing activity?)

If ED is now directly involved it suggests he may have found a prospective buyer.

They might want to talk to him but ultimately the decision to who to sell to and the negotiating of that deal seems now to be out of PG hands.
