Town Centre Latest

Just had a meeting on Churchgate. Sad to see the Bolton News offices empty. And in a week or two the Travel Counsellors building opposite will be empty. When will it get better? Should these empty offices be turned into apartments?

Not our town centre but I'm in Wigan in Friday for work and I need somewhere to eat in the town centre beforehand at around 5.30 ish (and not spoons as its the oddest one I've ever been in) any suggestions?

Tapas place along the same row as Wigan Central under Wigan North Western viaduct is meant to be ok, but never been myself

Franco’s Italian near the swimming baths is meant to be ok too and been there forever and a day which is usually a good sign

Thanks - will certainly try it. Can't drink as I'm working but the folks are coming to watch the show so I'm sure my Dad would like a pint in there beforehand.

In the other town centre at Middlebrook, M&S doubling in size by taking over Boots and Empty Wilko shop. Boots relocating to the old Argos shop supposedly.

Going to be even busier on match day but generally good news with an extra 100 jobs.
