Get well soon Phil, once a white always a white.

All the best to Mr Gartside. Not everyone's cup of tea and has come in for some serious shit recently but I could never believe everything he does isn't for the best for the club.

Not that he'll see it here, but best wishes to Phil Gartside. Wish him nothing but the best.

Yeah hope your back on your feet soon Phil . At the end of the day he is like the rest of us and was born to be a Wanderer

Having seen my father deteriorate from the strongest man I know, to being unable to lift his disabled wife, I sincerely wish PG a full and swift recovery.

Whatever an individuals thoughts, whatever an ailment, PG is a family man, and a Wanderer.

Thoughts and prayers to him and his family

Get well soon Phil - a fantastic servant of BWFC with an unbelievable record he's not got everything right but who does - good bloke great chairman

He might see it.

The club must surely monitor fan sites, and I wish him a speedy recovery from whatever he's ill with.

Mistakes or not, true Wanderer in my opinion

He may well see these messages of support, hopefully whilst convalescing. Didn't he once brand the posters on here 'vile'?

Get well soon and enjoy your retirement.

He's got an account on here, all the best Diddles

Get well soon Phil.

Get well soon PG.

Sad news :( Get well soon Phil!!

Sad news :( Get well soon Phil!!

get well soon Phil, from a fellow white

He has had us in places we thought we would never be (Europe), granted its gone wrong since but for a few seasons we were living the dream..

And nowhere near as bad as the previous...

Hope he recovers soon

Get well soon Phil

Get well soon Mr G. We've had some great times under his stewardship and on balance would we really swap the highs and lows that we've had for the steady existence of someone like maybe Sheffield United?

A steady existence or taking the club into administration or worse. I think I'd wait to see how deep the shit is we are in before we decide what we would have preferred.

Gartside has been ill for some time. This moving aside for Trevor Birch at this particular moment is interesting. Also Eddie may not now be in best position to safeguard the future of the club as much as he would have wished. As Casino keelson saying, who the hell would want to buy us. If Eddie's family/shareholders want out we may end up in the hands of some chancers. Can't see this ending at all well, we could lose our club never mind just relegation.

Sadly it's true, the only way we can generate profit is to be in the top division, and that's looking a very long way away. We would need the debt to go, and a decent manager who can build a team/squad with buttons and hope we manage to get promoted.

As well as not being attractive to prospective buyers, I would imagine we're probably not particularly attractive to players now either

Another clutching at straws thinking is that the investment in the academy will produce a similar output to Southampton

And yet Davies is asking £30 million for the club. I don't think theres any club in the Championship where £30 million is an attractive price for buyers. Not even Leeds.

It depends what you actually get for the £30M though. The club/team is worth nob all at present, we do have assets that are worth something if you want to start stripping them off though (provided they are included in the deal)

Is he? You keep talking authoritatively but with no evidence to back anything up. Is he selling "the club" or is it the parent company?

Mr Gartside & Eddie Davies have given me the best Wanderers' supporting years of my lifetime & probably the best years in the history of the club & i'll always thank them for all they've done for BWFC rather than moaning & criticising everything now that the more difficult times are here.

Anyone who says they would have preferred never to have had our time in the premier league, a cup final, the European campaigns, & seeing the likes of Jay Jay, Youri, Campo playing for Bolton & that they would have preferred to have spent all those years scratching around in the lower leagues can safely be ignored unless they can show that they said it at the time.....the rising debt was never a secret & today's difficulties were always going to happen once we dropped off the prem league gravy train.

which is why garty came up with the suggestion of prem 2

and those slagging him off now slagged him off then

Great effort lads. Shows what a decent bunch we are.
