Traf Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 if theyre sold it will depend on the terms of the deal if they cant be sold, i dunno good question If they can't be sold, they will be offered new contracts by the NEWCO and their existing contracts will become an outstanding debt, of which they'll get pennies in the pound. Flannel Truscott Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 So we reckon there is £20m of debt to clear before ED starts to recover anything. Exactly how much are we expecting to raise in this fire sale? Quote
Eavesy Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I thought he we had less than £10m debt but Davies wanted £20m payment for the club and assets? Quote
Sweep Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I thought he we had less than £10m debt but Davies wanted £20m payment for the club and assets? I think the truth is that nobody has a clue how much "real" debt the club has - most of the numbers bandied around on here are nothing more than speculation and guess work Quote

There's a definite lack of information being given. Quote
Casino Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 you need 35 million to get to the table or you did a month back and that kids, is a FACT Quote

Whites man Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Back in the early 80's several Bristol City players agreed to cancel their contracts rather than have the club go under. Quote
Traf Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 It might be just rose-tinted nostalgia, but players seemed to give more of a fuck about their clubs back then. Quote
Sweep Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 It might be just rose-tinted nostalgia, but players seemed to give more of a fuck about their clubs back then. I don't think it's rose tinted. Years ago players did (in the main) care about the clubs who they played for, they were also closer to the fans and generally more approachable.....in those days their wages were still fantastic, but not a million miles away from "normal" people. Now they are almost unapproachable/untouchable, and don't give a fuck, especially as they know there will be another club(s) happy to pay them another huge wage. Quote

As protected creditors they would be due all arrears. PAFC managed to defer this payment for five years when left administration and are now trying to negotiate "get half now monies owed or wait" deals Quote

green genie Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 We're still getting royally fucked. New owner has put us through austerity measures leaving us with playing budget in bottom third of 4th div , whilst (alledgedly) using PAFC cash to pay for design and planning for a failed redevelopment of grandstand and car park into Multiplex, leaving us as much in debt (to his parent company) as we were when left administration. We have a very good manager who's raided Scottish market and brought in loans (Threkald stopping until April btw) to make silk purse out of cows ear. Quote

Traf Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 completely exposed by some ridiculous job lennon asked him to do not the first and unlikely to be the last. Seemed to have ruined Tom Walker too. Quote
Eavesy Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Tom Walker could work in cloughs place. He played central attacking midfield a few times in pre season. And can drift out wide if needed. Quote

Leyther_Matt Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 didnt a few Rangers players do the sameNo, they wanted to cancel their contracts because they didn't want to play in the Third Division after the SFA decided their contracts were to be carried over to the new club. Quote
HR Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Carbone did it at Bradford when they were relegated, walked away from a huge contract 'When I thought about it, there was only one choice I could make. I couldn’t be the person who put Bradford City out of business' Quote
only1swanny Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Just done the lottery, just in caseDoing the same. Don't often at about 20m to one chance.. But that's about the same odds as us staying up (positive thoughts today) Quote
