Just heard a snippet of the Trump interview on the Jeremy Vine show and he said he doesn’t know them which is different to never heard of them.

There is even an interview where he explains that if he were to ever run as president he'd target the republican "fox news" demographic as those people are "thick as mince" and will "believe anything you tell them". I'm paraphrasing but essentially that is it. And that is what he's done.

I mean he's a walking lie, so does this one matter in the grand scheme of things? No. But it still doesn't make him palatable. Nor does it make him anything other than detestable. 

To use a tweet he sent six months ago where he refers to Khan as "London Mayor" and then names him (he didn't reply to or use his twitter handle, simply used his name and title)? You think thats "weak"? Do you regularly tweet about folk using their full names and job titles, then claim you don't know who they are?

 

He's a liar. I mean we didn't need this latest episode to know that. It isn't even a debate. Trump is a massive liar, who's hoodwinked loads of people into thinking he represents them.

Most Trump haters are saying he’s losing the plot and has dementia maybe that could have been the reason? Or is it just because he is a liar?

 

Let’s face it this man is one of the most important men in the the world who will be speaking to people of high importance on a regular basis, people like JC and SK really don’t need to be on his radar, they’re, to put it bluntly way below him at the moment!

(of Trump) in four years time, when the former is gloriously PM of these fair Isles and the latter has slunk off back to his tawdry penthouse rental firm - having delivered nought but grief to his beleaguered country...

Right through him? He's pretty honest. Almost to a fault at times. I'm not sure there is much to see. He's a socialist throwback who wants to genuinely help some people. He's tarnished by the right wing media excessively and often without any basis. In the same way Milliband was called a "commie" which was entirely untrue. 

 

Do I think he's a good potential PM? No. Mainly because he doesn't believe in many of the tools of the trade necessary to do that job effectively. You need to have a level of pragmatism I believe he doesn't possess. 

 

But he's not hoodwinking anyone. And if anyone talks about the cost of his promises...they were certainly far more costed and far more real than Boris and the bus promise.

Don't councils already have the power to seize empty properties if they're not maintained- perhaps he'd look to adding to that somehow.

There was a debate recently about second homes in the countryside being largely unoccupied and causing properties to rise in value. It always confuses me a bit as the locals must have sold to outsiders at some point, maybe as they move away for work etc.

Its a difficult one, but the housing crisis will never be resolved while so many are continuing to come here.
