I have a good friend who's child has a severe physical disability. She might need to have both legs amputated below the knee. She once told me about how her child having positive role models to look up to is incredibly important. In particular how people like the paralympians helped her confidence and inspired her to take up sports for herself.

 

Imagine being an American kid with something like motor neurone disease and watching the most important and powerful person in the country acting like DT did. It could fucking ruin you as a kid. And what sort of messages does it send out to the kids in the schoolyard?
