Bolton 2 Fulham 2

Big big game........

6-6 draw.

George Best bangs in a hat trick in the second half after supping ten pints in the King Bill in the first half, Rodney Marsh gets given a handbag outside Nandos before notching a treble.

Bobby Moore gets the kiss of life.

Bolton hit back with six goals in injury time through Viv Busby and Peter Mellor own goals

If spearing wasn't injured then taking him off was the worst substitution he has made since he has been here.

Once we got the 2nd we had to shut up shop, stick 5 in midfield and calm it down, we were being overrun again and again and the free kick came from that.

If we keep clough all season we have a chance, Mark Davies on the left works well, Wheater was very good and Holding had a cracking game.

But for a mistake and poor substitutions we would have won that game.

I'd say 2 mistakes. Either Amos didn't line up the wall correctly for the position he took. Or the wall ignored him.

Better signs - pressing further upfield, creating more. But until we work better as a team, especially defending, and until we get rid of the defensive schoolboy howlers, we're going down.

Bad substitution has cost us along with a defensive clanger & a goalie that is not smart enough to organise a proper wall .Spearing should have stayed on .Mcormack scored an identical goal last week ffs

Much, much better today

Defensive/midfield mistakes will be the reason that we go down

Clough was fucked, he had to go off, not sure about Spearing

Should have won

Point at Rotherham and beat Blackburn and I'll be a lot more positive about staying up

Amos saved two one on ones and they hit the bar twice.

So a point is all we deserved at best imo.

Prince is a mistake waiting to happen. Done it too many times now.

Holding was very good.

It was Danns who gave away the free kick, wasn't it? Tell you what as well, they took it a good 3/4 yards further forward than where the foul actually was. Ref gave it where Danns ended up after sliding on the ground rather than where he made first contact. Good hit from McCormack but thought Amos could have done better.

Thought Madine was excellent, but having him on the pitch at the same time as Heskey was never going to work. They all worked their nads off, but special mentions to Feeney and Pratley in particular along with Madine as mentioned. Wheater was solid, and a good job too with that bomb scare at the side of him.

Absolutely gutted we didn't get the win though. Good support once again.

It was Heskey.

Holding was very good.

Aye but feeney missed an open net when he missed the ball

Heskey missed by inches from a turn shot.

Their centre back almost put it in his own net.

Spearings shot went inches wide

And Madine had a header early in second half that went just wide.

It was Heskey.

Fair enough. My excuse is that I sit in NSL.

Me too and I thought it was Danns as well. I'm sickened by both of us

Maybe it was then.

Anyone else know?

Spearing substitution changed it. Dobbie for Clough OK. Heskey for Madine would have been fine but we lost a bit of footballing threat with two lumps up front. Danns trotting for their freekick and Heskey took one for the team.

Feeney seemed to expect the ball to bounce more. But on the wet pitch it didn't, poor effort really.

Clough was far more effective when we played more football second half. Speculative flick one give him nothing

. I sit in nsl. It was heskey. Too mutch beer I think

Good day

Coconut yed fucked us over.

We go to Rotherham with big chins stuck out and chests puffed up.

I love my club..

We will need 1.458 points a game between now and the end of season to stay up.

This is based on the last 7 seasons 4th from bottom points total.

OR win every home game and lose every away game.

Ain't gonna happen.

Oh, I dunno .........

Great second half and the crowd were superb, I thought everyone worked there bloody bollocks off! Like the statement "apart from his two goals clough didn't do anything " bloody hell!! Get davies and clough on the ball and we will start winning. All is not lost, I can see us singing the great escape at Fulham in may. Coywm

I went for a few pints when they scored, I came back and we were better,

They got the the free kick and I said to my pal (yes I have one) is that I fear the worse if they score

They did

Bar was shut

Fuck

We're almost there

Give over, you were going to turn round and ask me who it was :)

Has Lennon pulled off any pieces of good management?

Pulled off Clough and the game changed.

What a farce

The lad is playing his second game in about 3 months. Fatigue and a chance of injury was why he was taken off. I don't blame Lennon for that

The Spearing one was the stranger decision

Much better second half as has been said, Davies more involved in final third, others getting around him, ball being moved quicker, Moxey and Holding getting forward more.

Deserved to be in front but could have been curtains a minute before we equalised.

Holding did really well 2nd half, showed a lot of confidence going forward, couple of good crosses.

Feeney's cross for the 2nd goal was a purler, yes he put one or two wayward ones in as usual but also a few that were right on the money.

Madine's best game for me, took some manhandling off their two lumps at the back, worked hard, held up ball and brought people into play better than he has up to now

Could really have done with holding on for the win, obviously, but decent game, some spirit shown 2nd half and a bit of hope that a win will come, maybe Boxing Day.

NL needs to look at his stats and use Prince better. Made the most interceptions per game of any player in Championship, so move him forward and use him as holding midfielder. We've enough who could fill his spot in back four, his reading of the game and athleticism would be put to better use in a less risky position for him than centre back.

P

Atmosphere was good today.

No booing at the end and a lot of applause, although I couldn't bring myself to clap.

Maybe we're not as fickle as some folk say, as there's not many clubs would get that reaction in a similar position.

Can I ask you a personal question?

Was it much better 2nd half?

Been consoling myself thinking "I've seen it much worse"

Om not now so sure...left at half time because I couldn't even be arsed moaning. They ran about a lot and at least looked like they cared but its the worst Bolton team in 30 years. The team with Trevor Morgan and Nick Spooner would give them a game.

Absolute gash.

Left at half time. Come on pal there's no excuses here the bars still open.

I've left when we were 4 nil down against Chelsea after 28 minutes but today was not one of them days.
