Best Right Back Ever

Hungover to shit on a Sunday sipping some hair of the dog and I got to thinking right back has been such a troublesome position for us for fooking ages so who's the best right back we've ever had? I started going in 83 so it's a struggle to pick out a stand out player - browny?!

  • Teams don't finish top 8 constantly with a shite right back. Other teams target them and exploit them.   Hunt for me. Shame shoulder injuries finished him

  • Suntan   Mainly because of the night him, McGinlay and Jimmy were on the lash in town. Browny was wearing a see through plastic tie with water and fish inside it.   McGinlay then set fire to Jimmy

As good a crosser/goal scorer as I can remember. If it's a defender you want well....

John Ritson for me.

Never saw ritson just before my time think Derek Scott was our number 2 when started only memory of him I have is the fact he was right stocky

Browny for me

JOB was very good at RB, a big step up from Hunt.

Mendy was a part of Okocha's first season and I enjoyed his game, though he was inconsistent.

Steinsson was good at times but his positional play was really bad.

John O'Kane

Derek Scott was fucking shit. Soft fat geordie cunt.

Gudni and Bruno were very solid when played at right back

The walking mop

Isn't it a rule that a load of our youth prospects have to play at right back, regardless of their natural position? Holden, Hunt, O'Brien, Vela, Threlkeld, Holding - only Hunt actually played RB with any regularity before coming in to the first team.

Gudni all day for me

Bruno would've made it his for years had he not been so useful at centre half IMO. Wasn't the quickest but was spot on positionally.

Joe Riley.

Brian Borrows was very good.

Joe Riley.

Knew there was another, though he was a natural RB. Just remembered James Sinclair - striker for the kids, RB in the UEFA if memory serves me right.

Gudni by a mile

Yep, agreed

Easy to forget as a RB as he was a God at CB.
