RUREADY2ROLL Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 We were like this after beating Blackburn and we know what happened then. Much as I would like it to be us turning the corner and pulling ourselves clear of the bottom three I think yesterday was down to them being shit. When we come up against a team who can play football we struggle. I hope I'm wrong. We played well against Sheff Wed and were unlucky we didn't get a point - its the consistancy thats lacking and with our dodgy (to say the least) back four thats the likely reason. Quote
Whites man Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Beltin day . Must admit early bedtime Friday afternoon ruined by Whites Man effin abart with various fridges ,washers etc . Have some consideration for other folk pal, even if ya can afford a bloody kraut car , it doesn't give ya licence to be a noisy bugger , some of us are on the road at 4,15am. Any way rant over. Cracking match. Ref a bloody joke. Was so pleased to reach 45mins without conceding. On the down side , Madine is bobbins. Hit the roof when the 3rd went in. As soon as final whistle went , legged it to car . Train to Wigan. Celebrated in Algates Brewery. COYWM. See ya all next week. !!! Haha, I know who you are finally! Quote
cbwfcd Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I thought vela had a stinker too, also a lot of our build up play broke down with madine. However we won, screw the negatives. A great team performance, however shit they were. What a difference a decent midfield makes. Too bad its Leeds in the cup next, Wolves at home could have given us opportunity to build a little momentum. It's the hope that kills you. Quote

MalcolmW Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Shit. I had that was a home for some reason, you would have thought the home game would have stuck out. Haha Yes, because we have played Blackburn and MK twice and have played against every team. Quote
Rembrandt Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Praise for Lennon for getting it right at last, and for having the players up for it. Gold star to the crowd for backing the team, though it's easier when they give us something to back. Need to string some results together now. Here's hoping. Quote
Cheese Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) I had a bitter sweet experience yesterday, and one I regret massively. Was walking past the stadium taking the kids to the cinema when the second goal went in. We joined in the celebrations and watched through a little hatch in the corner opening between North and East stands. 3 year old had my BWFC scarf on and asked "Can we go in dad?". Properly brought a tear to my eye. Never taking them to Middlebrook on a matchday ever again, unless it's to watch the match. Completely ruined Charlie Brown for me knowing we were playing a few hundred yards away. #shitfan #shitdad Edited January 24, 2016 by Cheese Quote

At least babybell is keen on the footy eh? That's a good start pal! You gonna take him soon? Quote

Our poor defence had no hope with the swathes of attacks Quote

We need to stop teams running through our midfield at will, and stop allowing the edge of our box to be a challenge-free pot-shot zone. Quote

famouswanderer Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Some of the skill he produced was brilliant to be fair. Aslong as he carries on doing it in the oppositions final third, then crack on. Sometimes get the impression he wants to do something silly in our own half. Quote
Take Hunt Off Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 He's obviously an empty head but blessed with loads of skill as you say it needs drumming into him that he shouldn't be fannying around in the defensive half. Quote

Remember Jay Jay doing a Rabona pass across the end of our own box against Brum @ Home to applause from the crowd only for Sam to go mental on the touchline. After which jay jay became just an expensive Dave Challinor Quote
bolton va va Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I wish he'd pack in the over dramatic diving, but it was a great effort from Welly with some end product to it this time.....it also took some of the pressure off Feeney as our only out ball. Credit to Lennon as well, for taking him off before he got booted into row z. The substitution of Madine was also well timed with Ameobi taking advantage by running at tired defenders. Quote
