Legends Game

JJ Okocha taking part in the legends game might just have to go now. Nice to hear the legends dinner has sold out already.

cowdrills disallowed screamer was notts county

That was definitely Swindon

That was definitely Swindon

He scored v notts county in a game we won three nil in the year they beat us in play offs, it was from left side in front of burnden terrace into top far corner.

I was in the many road stand with a mate using his parents season tickets.

it was disallowed for nothing. and it was a screamer.

Call me a liar again and I will carve you open with a fish knife.

It was Swindon

Unless he scored another that was disallowed

Unless he scored another that was disallowed

Another one for the fish knife in the throat.

Every Christmas without fail we sit down and watch the VHS tape of the Sherpa Van Final (classic Dave Higson commentary).

The 2 things which make us roar with laughter in the Road to Wembley highlights are:

Steve Thompson fouled in the box at Bloomfield Road and DH shouts "Justice" on the commentary and

Mark Winstanley's screamer vs Wrexham prompting DH to shout "Win-win-Winny"

Happy days in the third tier with crap players.....bring it on!

Regrettably i'm out. Going long-haul to find some sun. Sick of this endless cold Spring.

"Winstanley, What a hero, what a man...Ohhh what a bad foul"

tables of 10 for the night do £400

Correct.

Ani is reet.

The police are behaving like pigs, so to speak....classic higgy

"Winstanley, What a hero, what a man...Ohhh what a bad foul"

didn't he play on with a broken rib or something or have I made that up in my head?

I remember a charity match a bit back

Think they said Messi, Pele, Puskas, fat Ronaldo, Youri and Cruyff were booked on but they all "regrettably" cancelled an hour before, and instead we had to sit and watch Tony Kelly huff and puff around. And that was just his warm up.

I'll go, but hoping everyone turns up as promised.

That's when Jeremy Bon was keeper for the world xi

Enjoy.

Thanks, Mounts. Maybe we'll have a manager when i get back.

Winstanley's goal was definitely against Wrexham in 1989 on our way to Wembley, Northern area qtr final I think it was.

Cowdrill's screamer which was ruled out for offside was against Swindon in the league cup. I think it was Browny stood in the offside position on the opposite wing!

All of the above is correct.

The disallowed Cowdrill screamer was against Swindon.

Unless he did it twice.

The Winny goal against Wrexham was at least 200 yards out from goal, easy.

no it was winstanley.

cowdrills disallowed screamer was notts county

.I am Malcolm

It was Swindon. Has Malcolm been booted up this morning and can confirm?

There must be two then. The one I'm thinking of, and presumably Ani too, was hit from near the corner flag at the Lever End.

Pretty sure we scored fairly soon after so it didn't really matter.

That is the one we battered them that day, remember walking off thinking we had knocked them out of race for play offs as it was so one sided.

they eventually knocked us out at their place, after we smashed their mini buses as they tried to get on st peters way in the home game.
