Waterloo tap is good, but it's not as close to the station as Euston/Piccadilly. It's closer to the Southbank.

 

If the weather is like it is today the riverside pubs in Kingston are a great shout

We are meeting in the Wellington across from Waterloo for a quicky then down to a Kingston river pub as Biggish says - 30 mins on the train from Waterloo and they are every 20 mins

Anyone who struggles to use the public transport in London in this day and age deserves to end up in a crack den at New Cross, having their breakfast pushed back in by a 30 stone Nigerian meth dealer.

Strangely enough, Citymapper gives the quickest route as the one that I'd do - which is 131 bus from the stadium to Raynes Park station, then the train to Vauxhall & Vic line to Euston. It says just under an hour. I say strangely as it's the least walking route. Depends on the road traffic but once you're past the ground, the road to RP isn't too bad. Of course, you have to be careful to get the bus going away from Kingston...
