The automatic two will come from the top four. The rest of the division are inconsistent or just plain shite.

  • Madine's job is to stand up top heading balls down. He did it. We won 2-0. No need for a scapegoat after 5 clean sheet wins.

Having a pop at Madine tonight is crackers   I'm his biggest critic but he's never worked as hard as that in a Bolton shirt.   And he has to start next game

To this day I vow not to have any dealings with Wirral Council.

I thought it was "only bury"....anyway, 'Mon Bolton'!!!

Another excellent result and performance - wish I was there, looked ace from the clips  :)

Agree with others - playoffs a minimum now.  Title up for grabs.

Looking forward to Xmas already two home games and Scunthorpe on NYE should be beltin!

we only need slightly better than a point per game to finish top 6

so, top 6 is the least i expect

Without injuries, i agree. ( I prefer to keep expectations down, to limit later disappointment )

I think with this squad and having got off to this start - anything outside of the top 6 would be a disaster. We have to be aiming for an automatic promotion spot as it stands.

Were you saying that after the Oxford game, just over 3 weeks ago ? :)

The injuries will happen though. We need to keep our fingers crossed that they don't happen to Beevers, Wheater, Spearing or Clough who are all central to getting out of this league.

Pratley coming back firing would also be a massive boost in my opinion.

15 points in 5 games will change the points per game needed.

We are 4th favourites for league so let's have some caution.

Is the game replayed on sky today ? Might work from home thus afternoon.

I remember folk getting carried away after the first 4 games

The Mrs said, what lovely guys jules and gumbo are????????. locals seem very quiet today

We are going to win the league on Tuesday 18th April at home to.... Bury

Whereas you were always miserable. ????

I'm delighted PP has turned it around, I admit I was very worried and very low after the Oxford game but last night we showed we are capable of being a solid all round team. That was the most complete performance of the season without being spectacular.

Not getting carried away but I'm cautiously optimistic we'll be challenging for promotion at the end of the season which I certainly didn't expect before a ball was kicked. Hopefully get Clayton and Pratley back soon enough and maybe 1 o 2 fresh faces in January then who knows

I like the fact Zach Clough has got a bit of an edge about him. Never really seen it before this season.

were there any empty seats behind the goal

where i was stood it seemed full yet hundreds of us didnt have seats

Seemed packed on the tele

That win was for you Nat. Now perhaps the bucket shakes will take their pathetic banner down. :blum:  :db:

(Grandad Rochdale Whites.)

I was surprised how empty it was behind the other goal, for a game against their "biggest rivals" it really was a piss poor showing by them

Nrither keeper had alot to do. Our 1st pen was dodgy as fook. If it had stayed 0-0 for longer I dont think everyone would be thinking its our year.

Clough also as a little change off pace which helps

Did you allow yourself any time at all to enjoy the result last night?

On the first pen, if you touch a man with the ball at his feet in front of you, you're always taking a big risk.

I'm guessing you get lots of messages like that. :D

Alas, tis true. Abused and misunderstood

I thought it was "only burnley"....anyway, outclassed!!!
