Wanderers 1 Coventry 0

Goal fest at the Macron.

6-6 draw.

Steve Ogrizovic with a Johnny Fart Pants wind assisted effort, Brian Kilcline, Keith Houchen with a diving header circa 1987,Cyril Regis,Lady Godiva gets off her high horse setting one up for China Hill and one from Dion Dublin's knob about a foot out....

They play in the turd brown Admiral away strip but are rattled with our comeback, all six scored by Peter Beardsley.

We'd be some side if the rest of the team were struggling with their distribution as much as he does.  On a different note, his tackle in the box in the first half was sublime.

  • Amen - off loading Trotter in January would be part of my master plan to free up funds if I was PP. Surely some clueless Championship side want to take a punt on him?

  • Dervite and Moxey should be on any out-going list before Trotter. Anyway there is no guarantee Thorpe will be here beyond January and we may need Trotter.

They were far from the worst team we've seen; considering they were with a caretaker Manager they were very well organised and when they hunted in packs we only kept the ball when we were at our best and found Clough or Vela in those pockets of space

aye and as for their chances missed, they were typical of a team who are struggling at the bottom, even when you play well, nowt will go in

Gael Bigirimana - ex Newcastle. I thought he was excellent as well. Although I've nothing against Thorpe.

Came trough the Cov youth ranks went to Newcastle too early imo and ended up loaned back to cover before signing back with them.

Very good player imo

wondered why him and Ameobi seemed to be best mates at the end

Their keeper made at least 2 brilliant saves that he pushed wide for a corner that many keepers would've palmed back into play.

I was also impressed with the build up play and movement from their number 11 (k Reid according to our scoreboard). Although he put every shot into row z fortunately.

/\ Which was still nearer than Sordell's first half effort

Derik played v well last night. Looks good at cb in my opinion

Just fuck off with your positivity.

I very rarely attend midweek home games, but fancied this due to our current form.

I was fortunate to be able to borrow a ST & get a lift so i could have a beer too - thanks to you two.

That said, the rushing home from work, getting changed, quick tea, half hour+ drive to ground, shit weather, no atmosphere etc......

Made me respect people who go to mid week games, especially those who travel a considerable distance.

Give me a Saturday away game any day.....

They did well to keep themselves in the game to half time when it must have looked like they were on for another pasting after 15 mins. Gave them chance to have a go second half, even more so when the Clough free kick didn't finish them off. They'd a few nippy lads who could shift ball quick and run with it at pace.

put Thorpe in last years side I'd have thought he was total shite but in our current side I think he's very decent and there's nowt wrong with Derik

Thorpe got through a lot of closing down and hassling work that gets unnoticed. Not the strongest tackler at times though when he does get it off them he keeps it simple and finds a man

I much prefer Thorpe than Trotter, at least Thorpe is mobile. Thorpe just keeps things simple and he's more like a water carrier, but he does a decent job for us.

Thorpe is on season long loan so should be here beyond January when pratley returns trotter will be further down the pecking order.

Ok good, thought his loan was just until January.

I would still keep Trotter above Dervite and Moxey.

We have already lost nearly all of our midfielders to injury at some point this season, we may need him.

Wheater is injured and Dervite can't get on the beach.

That shows where the cowardly French cunt stands in the pecking order.

Cheers burnden!

Indeed. The typo in your post does not need correcting as it could be close to the truth.

I'd give you a plus ten if I could.

Not sure when Anderson's loan finishes but I'd send him back too. Clayton is fit now so no need for a loanee to be sat on bench.

Dervite can go too, not getting a look in.

Ameobi is only her til Jan is he not?

Ameobi will stay put. But he would be more effective coming off the bench against tired defenders if only Chris Taylor who is wank or James Henry could put a decent shift in. I don`t think PP expected Sammy to start games but CT & JH have not performed.
