When did he stop singing in such a thick Scottish accent?

Stellify, Longsight M13, Sister Rose, Sweet Fantastic, Forever & a Day, Shadow of a Saint, My Star, Just Like You, etc, etc.

Some great tracks in there Smiley. Sister Rose, Longsight and Stellify especially.

My old apartment in the Fusion building on Middlewood Street in Manchester was on the Stellify video, total surprise when I saw the video. Wish I’d known and I’d have been hanging off the balcony getting a cameo in!

Will I regret hearing it it, like most years mercury winner?

New series about the history of dance music starting on BBC 4 tonight called Can You Feel It.

Sure something like this was on recently but sounds like it'll be worth watching.

Documentary about the New Order MIF gigs on tomorrow too on Sky Arts.

It’s a grower.

I like them anyway but this one is definitely worth persevering with.

Finally just got round to seeing Episode 1 last night and looking forward to 2 tonight, I really enjoyed it. Some of those tunes and scenes from inside those original warehouses were brilliant.

I'm more into later dance/trance stuff that I'm sure will come up in later episodes, but there's very few other tunes that can just give me a mental image of being in a club than that opening to Voodoo Ray, what a classic.

Ride doing an acoustic 30th anniversary show at RNCM in December. Think I'm in for that one. Not done a gig there before.

2 tickets for sale for the coral at the albert hall Manchester sat 13th oct, will take 40 for the pair.

Did a Tim Booth solo gig there, good venue. No surprise that it's like a lecture theatre

Did a Supergrass acoustic set there, very good

Mate of mine took me, E and Gumbo to a Ride gig back in February in London the night before QPR away. It was a bit average

If you don't know their music and weren't a shoegazer in late 80s - then guessing it wouldn't appeal.

just watched Verve at Haigh Hall- my first proper gig 20 years ago... don't think I appreciated how good they were; now listening to a storm in heaven... awesome

all stemmed from thinking RA sounds like Neil Diamond on his latest track; almost unrecognisable from then

Read a review of his latest album

Short of saying 'Utter shite' it wasn't very complementary
