Personally I’m waiting to see what comes out in the wash. If Parky hasn’t got any interest in playing Doidge then we might as well try and duck out of it while we can. Suppose he's only our player when he signs his contract with us as opposed to a loan deal

January 6, 20197 yr The clubs favouring that old family retriever you’ve had for donkeys. On its knees, pissing in the house but you can’t / won’t accept it’s dying time after time you hope the vet (Anderson in this case) pulls off another bit of magic. Patches it up and you hope beyond all realms of reality that it’ll pull through and everything will be ok. Eventually you realise that whatever he does it’ll never be right. Only option is to put the fucker down. End everyone’s misery

I doubt there was the intention to shaft Doidge or Forrest Green from the off. I would guess KA has told the FGR owner that he hasn't enough left in the crucial EFL Sky payment due in ten days or so to honour the deal and that's why he's moved from being 'relaxed' about things to taking Doidge back and his statement of such. As Doidge and FGR will be football creditors and will remain unpaid, then I guess we will be under the embargo for the whole of the window which means O'Neil cannot be signed either. Thankfully we still have the ST in the background with their high net worth individuals on stand by to save the club. Give it up Pal. I think the ST may we'll be needed soon. Let's just hope they are able to do summat.

I understand that it appears that we haven't been paying him and presumably we haven't paid FGR what is owed but surely he can't just go back without some sort of legal procedure being followed? iirc It was an 11th hour loan window (after the transfer deadline) deal with the agreement in place to be made permanent in this window

My guess would be we owe them at least one of these 250k installments And KA has said "you might as well have him back as we aren't paying" "Well you still owe us 250k" "Jog on sunshine, what you going to do, wind me up? the club hasn't got it, I ain't paying it, so you're not getting it"

As he was a still a loan player, there would have been payment(s) due for the permanent transfer along with his wages, which may well have gone up once he became our player. Better to duck out of this with reputational damage than having to sell what’s left of the family silver to fund a transfer for a bit-part player.

That surprised me as well!
January 6, 20197 yr There's also the issue we have fcuked over the transfer window rules Only deals we could do at that stage were loan to perm I think?

I’d have thought the loan fee would have been paid given ED was still in the background at the time, plus I’m sure it would have kicked off before now if it hadn’t been paid. We’d certainly be due to pay a fee once the move was made permanent though, and I’d say this is the lesser of two evils compared to going through with the transfer and then ducking out of the payments.

(Not aimed at you but at the original post) Obviously not the best time for any fan of BWFC no matter what you think of Anderson. I stand by everything I've said in the past and think he's done an amazing job to get us so far considering what he took on, the suicidal BluMarble loan Holdsworth took on from the very first day and the financial basket case the club was, all without any substantial funds himself to invest. As it stands Anderson is still in charge, the club isn't in Administration and we've yet to hear what Anderson's position is to keep the club trading. Until then the gloating that has already broken out in some places is somewhat premature yet.
