FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Great so far .

So these players, they are good then? Its not just a case of stocking up - these are identified and quality signings?

Sorry for the stupid questions just interested.

enjoyed CB, his pace and enthusiasm, however he is a million miles off Liverpool's starting eleven

My main worry was goalkeeper especially as we had been linked to several but Baxter is quality and we have a good back up at last in Coleman. As for the new RWB Trashmere fans are gutted he’s signed for us as they think he’s championship standard . If we sign the RWB from Bristol City as well that gives us strength in depth at last .

They're very good but have/have had injury troubles

They've all mention the Premiership in their interviews - so these are players who have fallen below their right standard because of injuries and timing?

Nobody knows fuck all until a ball has been kicked of course. But I'm confident. Baxter was offered Championship football and chose us, so we must be doing something right.

Kane Wilson was lge 2 player of the season the season before last...........Lad is quality

Which teams came in for him?

Good to.know we're finally a place player want to come to.

In Sharon I trust, that whole board seem.to be doing something right.

That seems about right for Baxter and Wilson

If fully fit, and in Wilson's case he return the same player as before his injury, they're better than the third tier

No idea. Just going off what he said in his interview.

What was his injury?

I love all the Twitter folk saying “these lads are the right thing” “we sign x and it will be perfect”

I’ve not written anyone off just saying folk have no idea who they are despite posting in-depth analysis of them.

I am delighted we have signed 3 players permanently in positions we need. Loans are ok but we need to develop and sell to be profitable

A knee injury

He was out for quite a few months

I saw Twitter people moaning that we are taking the cheap option again with our signings because we havent signed a player from Coventry called dabo!    Who they all must watch regular .    Some folk

John will probably be gone before 'Hutch'

Hutch will probably be snatched up by Real now Courtois is getting on - if they ever start thinking about succession planning rather than overpaying for other clubs' products that is.

Decberto is also a keeper.

Well it all looks good on paper and the due diligence has obviously been done but I've still got absolutely no idea how this lad will perform for us. Hopefully more Bradley than this....

For every Bradley there is a Beck. Let’s hope we've found the Bradleys.

Exactly. Worryingly both identified via the same recruitment process.

However, Bradley and Beck were both youngsters who’d never played men’s football, same with Shoretire, even Mbete to an extent. Dapo and Fossey were kind of in the same boat too just a bit older and they turned out well. So it’s not like we are totally flipping a coin on these transfers.

Especially as Baxter, Dacres-Cogley and Wilson (hopefully we sign him) have a lot more viable data and scouting behind them, having played more minutes in the men’s game.

Charles, Dempsey, Morley, Johnston, Toal, Iredale, have all been found in a similar way.

Could point to Victor, Jerome, Randell as ones that haven’t worked as well but all those came in mid season and it took Dempsey a while to hit his peak as has been said many times.

our recruitment is nowhere near the term “worryingly”. Compared to most clubs I’d say we do a lot more right than wrong currently.

Weve made 3 solid signings so far. Very curious to see what else we do, and if we sprinkle some Premiership loans in again or focus on permanent transfers

Our scouting has proven that it isn't by any means infallible and that is de facto worrying. Not saying other clubs are better at it but rather saying that with our stated ambition and limited resources compared to some clubs in the division comes more pressure to get it right first time. And hopefully we will.

A big question that as yet I have seen no answers is do any of the new signings live close to the ground ?

I like Baxters responses,  I think we can see the lad has done his homework on bwfc and the curve the club is on.  Got to love 'I had a good chat with the gaffer, 5 minutes about the club and the rest about the ashes , my mind was already made up'
