August 23, 20188 yr Liverpool Echo reporting Everton's Joe Williams on the way to us on loan with a recall clause.
August 23, 20188 yr Been looking at Barnsleyways - not too many impressed with Williams. Runs about a lot, passes 5 yard balls a lot and shoots from distance a lot but other than that he's dogshit according to their fans

Runs about a lot, passes 5 yard balls a lot and shoots from distance a lot but other than that he's dogshit according to their fans Luckily, you have just made that up. He did very well for them, young lad in position that needs maturity. Hard player, well thought of at our place. Hope he goes to Wigan though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMH4RUa99Ck#action=share Loves a tackle. Edited August 23, 20188 yr by Pablo
August 23, 20188 yr I think they've managed to get his every tackle in from last season in that video. As always videos can flatter to decisive, but the lad looks mobile and reasonably comfortable with the ball. Feisty fucker too. The fact a few clubs were sniffing around can only bode well.

Barnsley offered over £1 million for him in jan.
August 23, 20188 yr He is the Number 8......yesss lad. School of football science not teach players to tackle?
August 23, 20188 yr School of football science not teach players to tackle? Perfectly acceptable on the red shite.
August 23, 20188 yr We were far too reliant on 2 centre mids last year, this lad now means we have 4 options for those 2 positions (5 if you include Vela) - should help keep the team fresh and mean we can switch things round depending on form/fitness and opposition. To be fair the same can be said for every position with 2 good options for each. It makes a massive difference to last season where we basically had nothing past the starting 11.
August 23, 20188 yr Good luck to the lad. is that scruffy fcuker, alan whittles nephew, getting a go this year?
August 23, 20188 yr Seems to like the old arm chair tackle. If O'Neil is on a short term deal then maybe he's one for later. One good thing about that video was him winning the ball back early, further up the pitch. Reminded me of some of Gary Speed's work; invaluable in keeping pressure on.

August 23, 20188 yr No I don't. I touched upon this elsewhere a few days ago (with tomski?). Quite a few have commented on his performance last night, seems like he could help the young lad with his development and that can only be good for us.
August 23, 20188 yr I'd say O'neils performances so far make it old signings brigade 2 - 0 BWFC Twitter M0ngs Edited August 23, 20188 yr by barrycowdrill
