Should probably concentrate on the here and now but my main worry is carrying on as we are, KH becoming toxic but leading us in L2 cos he has a record  of getting promoted from there and it all being a replay of the last few years at a lower level.

Me too. And im liking casino"s positivity.  But part of me feels it might be under estimating Hilly"s job.

Stay up or go down though lets hope we still have the all in it together attitude we need. Its why i think its unfair for some of the criticism  of Hilly thats started and why someone like Wheater could help this season. Up and at em!

But Hill doesnt want to use them.  He wants to use Wright and a 5.5" midfielder instead.  So Wheater is a far better alternative to either of them, he isnt an alternative to young defenders.

I’d have Wheater back with a view to him getting involved in coaching defence, seems Hill and Flircroft can’t do that job so getting him back as player coach makes sense.

He strikes me as the hill way or no way 

but yes wheater may want to go down that road of coaching and if so good place to start

Given our current defensive performances think I prefer no way. 

Happy to have Wheater back if it happens particularly at this level. We wouldn’t of been complaining about him if he hadn’t of gone to Oldham in the first place so no idea why people have an issue with him now 

re: Hill, yes he is hamstrung with his options at the minute but some of his decisions are bizarre. For me, he talks a better game than he’s showing at the min. 
 

he talked about getting the side buying in to how they work with and without the ball. Well, without the ball we’ve been abysmal in the last 5-6 weeks. So they’re either a) not yet getting it or b) doing it but it’s not good enough 

gossip about Clough too. I’d have him back 100%. With Crawford out I’d rather have Clough playing behind Murphy than Darcy. Darcy has some decent potential and could be a very good asset. What he lacks at the minute is creating opportunities and finishing. Clough pips him there so even if they’re marginal improvements, they’re what we need to turn results in our favour 

If Wycome and Rotherham can get 40+ points in half a season then I'm fucking sure we can (with some decent signings.)

That's an option I thought about too, we definitely need someone to help coach our defense.

I always thought it was a good idea to build your team from the back first to make you more solid and hard to beat, we seem to be building from the front first.

If we're mulling over the idea of bringing someone in to work on our defensive organisation, I'd prefer it if we brought in an actual defensive coach rather than a currently still playing 32-year-old centre-back with no coaching experience.

It's easier to maintain it though if you bring on defensively-minded reinforcements to give yourself a bit of structure.

Hill didn't do that. Instead, he went very gung-ho.

Yeah his decisions at times have me scratching my head 

Hill said when he came, he wanted to play attacking football. I think we have seen that through formations, however we need to keep the ball better and make more chances, in addition to being better organized at the back.

If the latter gets sorted, I'm sure a bit more confidence would emerge that we can dominate and win games more comfortably than at the moment.

Don’t they all go back, does mot mean he’s not coming back, but to be honest he’s been average. Possibly clears way for Wheater to return.

Not keen on Earl to be honest his decision making was poor for me. 

I'm not bothered if Earl stays at Preston, it's looking likely that Chickson will be staying and Bunny shouldn't be far from fitness, so we should be covered at left back, we need to bring in some decent central defenders, so letting Earl go, isn't the end of the world imo.

Thought Earl was ok at left back - but I like Chicksen better - but poor at centre half. No great loss but need bodies in.

Chicksen isn't on loan he's on a contract until sometime in Jan I think, has there been summat put out to say he's signed?
