Did a 10K run last week and my legs have just stopped aching

On a lovely green sludge smoothie today, it looks like shit but actually tastes nice

Going out for a run later when I get home from work

It's hard trying to improve on perfection but I'm giving it a go

Use code: EVERYTHING

My protein code , 24 hours to go.

Maple Syrup was another substitute he recommended. Again it's still calorific but a better source of sweetness / Sugar as it's natural / unrefined - I use a little bit to sweeten up my porridge (made with water of course)

A better sort of sweetness? How exactly? Was he working for a maple syrup factory?

Getting started again tomorrow.

1) Lean green drink. 2 fish oil tablets. 2 multi vitamin.

2) scrambled eggs. 1 egg 3 parts egg white.

3) protein shake with unsweetened almond milk

4) chicken salad. No condiments.

5) protein shake

6) cod with roasted vegetables & brocolli

7) boiled egg for supper

3 litres of water

No salt, pepper or any herbs, sauces, etc. No tea or coffee.

No snacks.

It's going to be bland and boring as fuck. 7 days of this. Each day has to be under 20g of carbs. But have to include portion of brocolli each day and that's 4g.

Again, I'm not exactly sure, something to do with it being 100% natural and coming out of the sap of a tree rather than being processed

Similar to honey if you will

Date nectar is another good source for something sweet. Looks minging though.

Make sure you get decent maple syrup, if you buy cheap shit you may as well use caster sugar

why no salt, pepper or herbs?

Why two multi vitamins when 1 contains 100% of what you need?

why no salt, pepper or herbs?

The idea is to take your taste buds back to zero. Its about consuming enough protein, vegetables and water to get by on.

The multivitamins - one in the morning, one in the evening. Not sure what the thinking is behind that.

One cheat meal next weekend (can't binge though).

Lean green drink to start each day. Tastes rank, but full of good stuff.

Aye, live to eat, not eat to live

Maybe smileys regime gets you so bored with food you just stop eating

That's just week 1. Start to introduce condiments and certain carbs in week 2 onwards.

Sugar is 100% natural. It doesn't make any difference if it's white sugar, brown sugar, maple syrup, honey or molasses. It's all going to break down into glucose pretty much immediately.

I seem to remember somebody telling me it was better to have honey than refined white sugar in coffee - have I been duped?

There was a programme on just last week where they mentioned this. They said it is no better to have honey or these other nectar products over sugar, in fact some had more calories per teaspoon than sugar anyway!

Ask em again in 2 years :)

you'd think natural sugars would be better than refined.

you'd think natural sugars would be better than refined.

Refined is still natural- just purer as stuff taken out.

Honey is good because of antibacterial and anti fungal properties.

I agree about Smiley's diet. Sounds horrendous.

The more something is refined, the more is taken out of it

For white sugar vs brown sugar, think brown bread vs white bread

I only ever use brown sugar and palm sugar in particular when cooking

you'd think natural sugars would be better than refined.

That's the thing though, sugar is sugar. Its not like white vs brown bread/rice/pasta, sugar just doesn't give a fuck :)

Park run wasn't popular till I started it. Now it is popular.

It's maybe a taste thing. I have one brown sugar in coffee, for example, but need more if I have white sugar

Pizza Hut for tea Friday, kebab yesterday and Subway today.

As for exercise I loaded and and unloaded the car for the boot sale this morning and spent the rest of the weekend sat on my arse watching the FA cup and the NFL play offs with a few beers.

I've googled the process and it looks as if they use a shed load of chemicals during the process

Not sure if that means it could be then classified as 100% natural
