New Year Weight Loss

Sugar is 100% natural. It doesn't make any difference if it's white sugar, brown sugar, maple syrup, honey or molasses. It's all going to break down into glucose pretty much immediately.

I've googled the process and it looks as if they use a shed load of chemicals during the process

Not sure if that means it could be then classified as 100% natural

Honestly - if what you're worried about is anything other than how it tastes then you needn't be. It won't make any difference to glucose production and insulin response which is the main thing which might conceivably have a bearing on weight loss.

As for honey being an anti fungal and anti bacterial. Certain types of honey are useful on some wounds if it is applied topically - we use it on some special wound dressings at work. But it won't do owt if you swallow it. It will make your bread taste nice though.

Do you think that it works? From your posts I'm guessing that you are heavily involved in woundcare

Interests me as it's very divisive in terms of formularies across the UK

It's not really my area - but I know the tissue viability nurses uses manuka honey infused dressings on certain types of chronic wounds, and the NHS are pretty tight on stocking anything unless there's a pretty substantial evidence base behind it. There's a good synopsis here if you can be arsed.

Yeah, can be arsed. Work in woundcare so the whole honey thing interests me. That's quite a good synopsis

Anyway..........back to the diets......

Little tip - if you're going to weight yourself - do it in the morning before you eat and drink, after a piss and a plop and in the buff.

Weighing yourself at the end of the day is a waste of time as it'll change substantially based on how much fluid you've taken on board/what you've eaten/whether you've been to the loo.

Try weighing yourself and then drink a litre at water and then weight yourself again. You'll be about 2lbs heavier.

Agree and as from this week that is what I will be doing

I will be "knocking 1 out" first as well which should help

Don't forget to shave first. Face, arse, balls, chest, etc. Clip your finger and toe nails.

This is like Apollo 13 now. You have to get the weight down to the minimal possible.

I'm booked in the Turkish barbers in town on Friday for a back, sack & crack

I always keep my fingernail short because the ladies like um that way

Are you making yourself look all pretty for when the "new boy" starts at work?

What's everybody's biggest sin? Apart from ale that is..

Mine is when I finish work I'm always starving and generally don't have tea till a bit later on. So it's whatever I can lay my hands on in our kitchen, toast being the sin.

It won't stop till it's bought me down.

Fuck you toast.

Oh and crunchie nut cornflakes
