Was Oldham away our first ever away game in ttird division in the seventies when thousands of Bolton fans were on the Chaddy end with only a thin blue line seperating us and Oldham fans

Have we sold out yet?

I remenber going there in January in the mid 80's.

Just after Newcastle away when we re-took the lead in the 90th minute and still didn't win.

????

The game in the snow always brings back fond memories. As does setting off watching Bolton at Villa in the First Division at the end of the 70s. We got part way there and the radio said it was postponed due to snow. A quick scan of the newspaper led to us going to Oldham. No idea who they were playing but we were soon outed as Bolton fans. The Oldham fans singing Wanky Wanderers towards us and us singing Franky Worthington. I'd have been 15 or 16 at the time.

Remember going to the match when Stuart Taylor walked the ball into the net to win 2-1 not sure what year, went to the one where Doyle scored and was sent off think it finished 1-1, been loads of times was also at the one that features on the cuckoo waltz I think Alan groves scored the only goal for them

About 6 of us went in their end back in the late 70s early 80s and within 10 minutes it kicked off like fuck, the old bill just marched us down the side of the pitch and put us in the Bolton end, no getting kicked out of the ground or banning orders in those days

He was a monster

One Oldham lad took a right elbow

Recommendation by okocha if I remember rightly.

Not been there watching us.

Was in Chesterfield end for a Auto Windscreens Semi Final a few years ago though.

"We" scored in stoppage time to get to Wembley.

I'm sure I've been there for a cup game and Vaz Te got his first goal for us. Shithole ground with oil drums lying about infront of the stadium

I was there for a cup game when that cunt Lee Croft broke Nicky Hunts ankle. Got a vague memory that Vaz Te scored that day so might be the same game

Got arrested in their end at about 3.05 in 1980, didn't get out of the cells until 7.30 Sunday morning as they couldn't get hold of my dad to confirm my ID. He weren't best pleased when he came to pick me up.

Will we sell our allocation? Going off how slowly the Sheff U tickets shifted I doubt it.

Reckon it will be cheaper tickets than Sheff Utd and a lot nearer.

Being so in need of the cash too I doubt they'll be liable to pull half the allocation a week in advance too

we filled it in 97 but course we was top and champions by then.

Unless we put a run together then doubt it

Nor will they have any need to given they'll have plenty of their own tickets to shift.
