Winding Up Orders

Last I heard, it was court tomorrow

ST and Lies reported 3, including Heathcotes mob

KA said that was old news, leaving 2

Now, I can see HMRC is definitely a club issue, but the other is Sport Shield

If we assume KA can deal with HMRC debt - I'd have been happier if he had sorted that one already, tbf- that 'just' leaves SS and blumarble

If the court agrees to wind up SS, do we know what that means and also the impact on BWFC

  • The harsh reality is that name of the club has been dragged through the dirt in last few years. Massive debts, relegation, players not being paid etc etc.   Go back to when KA was first linked he w

  • Mounts had a word and told them the financial benefit of having a football stadium 300 yards away

  • Imagine that, a site that represents BWFC's hardcore support being pro-the bloke who has saved us from oblivion. Just fucking imagine that.

So after Lies getting over excited thinking he had a scoop, its as you were for KA.

Good work?

The investment prospectus wasn't a fucking secret document.

They've hardly cracked the Enigma code.

Ken doesn't seem happy it's common knowledge though?

He's not happy at all but what does he expect when he engages an agent to find s buyer and produces a prospectus outlining what you get and how much it costs. Did he really think it wouldn't get into the public domain?

He claims nobody has been engaged in the way has been described and is taking legal advice. To me it sounds like they asked for a brochure to be created to try and stimulate some interest in investment. But those who produced it went further than they had a mandate for.

Everyone knows Ken would sell the club if a suitable offer came in. However, I'm not really sure how the brochure changes much. It's what we already knew.

The headline that the For Sale signs are up is a massive misrepresentation of the situation. Iles is more off the mark than a Gary Madine 30 yard volley.

Surely the firm engaged to sell/attract investment in the club had the prospectus signed off by Ken before they started distributing it to interested parties, otherwise I'm very sure they wouldn't have started to send the prospectus out of their own volition.

And if that's the case not sure why Ken trying to paint it as something else to be honest.

We don't know where it was acquired do we?

If not then it could have been taken from designers/printers pre-sign off anyway

I don't think it's any news that the club is for sale. We've been for sale for 10 years FFS

The £££ is always a starting point anyway

Complete non-story for me

Reminds me of that Michael Owen brochure

If the brochure wasn't signed and agreed with Ken the company who had it produced and distributed it are in deep shit. As they are in asset management and finance I'm not convinced they'd make such a school boy error and without Kens say so.

So it was distributed? This is what I was asking?

Smiley could knock one of these up in an hour, JSL.

Doesn't stop Daniel Izal talking shit.

Except this was a genuine sale prospectus otherwise Ken would not have reacted. What has Izza said?

Izal

I so hope that's not auto correct

Izal aka a shiny shit smearer

Bolton news reporting that the company distributing company did not have the rights to, could get naughty this.

I don't know what Ken's unhappy about, thanks to the paper, thousands more people now know that the price is £25 million. He's  got a big advert on the BN website for free.I see cllr John Walsh comments that we all want new investment, hopefully other fans on the council can pass the word around when they are having meetings with big business that the club is for sale for £25 million. It might be a chance conversation from the advert in the paper rather than ken's glossy sales pamphlet that is the trigger to a sale.

I would imagine it's quite common that folk looking to invest £25000000 check the local news website for any potential opportunities.

Are you serious? Its been widely known the club has been up for sale since about 2008. Are you really suggesting advertising in the local paper is the way to attract someone wealthy enough to buy it?

I suspect Ken's issue is more that the subtlety of the message is butchered by the local rag not having a clue what they are talking about. Its clear Ken is doing all he can to secure investment. That includes putting a value on the business - that we know is effectively up for sale and has been for a long time. That does not mean Ken is anticipating being in a position to sell it, lock and stock in the next few months or even years. There is after all a difference between someone offering some small scale investment to keep the club going for a slice of the shareholding than someone buying the whole thing themselves and taking on a loss making business. I can see someone being interested in the former, but less in the latter. The former attracts people who don't want to directly run a football club, for a start and is less risky.

I didn't know the club was up for sale for £25 million and nobody I have spoken to in the real world knew the club was up for sale  for £25 million either.Clearly you are better informed than most if you knew the club was for sale and the asking price. It's wrong of you to assume everybody else knew

The fact that thousands more people now know the situation thanks to the article in the BN is surely good, that surely increases the chances of a sale. Doesn't it? of course it does

It does and also folk might knock on Kens door now and not the company who first sent out the prospectus, therefore no commission to pay the agent.

Having an unrealistic price tag on it in a brochure doesn't actually change much does it? Given we have probably £15M and rising debts its obvious that to buy a debt free business it will cost somewhere around the mark.

But it isn't exactly a revelation. Like I say there is a distinction between setting a price and actively expecting that price to be met.

Another winding up petition on the horizon :(
