Winding Up Orders

Last I heard, it was court tomorrow

ST and Lies reported 3, including Heathcotes mob

KA said that was old news, leaving 2

Now, I can see HMRC is definitely a club issue, but the other is Sport Shield

If we assume KA can deal with HMRC debt - I'd have been happier if he had sorted that one already, tbf- that 'just' leaves SS and blumarble

If the court agrees to wind up SS, do we know what that means and also the impact on BWFC

  • The harsh reality is that name of the club has been dragged through the dirt in last few years. Massive debts, relegation, players not being paid etc etc.   Go back to when KA was first linked he w

  • Mounts had a word and told them the financial benefit of having a football stadium 300 yards away

  • Imagine that, a site that represents BWFC's hardcore support being pro-the bloke who has saved us from oblivion. Just fucking imagine that.

Seems cheap to me for everything.

So KA has indicated a price. First stage of a negotiation. No one will pay the first asking price.

If the ST do have some genuinely HNW investors now is the time for discussions to take place.

At the last calculation, we were still losing around £3-400k a month. That still has to be a consideration to any potential buyer.

Whitesmurf

So a buyer is expected to cough up 25m for a club still losing money every month, had no owner investment for over two years and heading back into League One. That money is needed to cover debts including an estimated 7m+ to Blumarble, 5.5m to PBP & 2.5m to Brett Warburton, and a bunch of creditors such as Bolton Council who are owed money. Hardly a debt free club! Oh and lets not forget the remaining 5-10m as a tasty payoff for a certain someone whos net input is reported to be one pound and zero pence. Before we forget, there’s also those offices and car park that need buying back...
In fact, now I think about it, there’s that reported £500k unrefundable payout to look at the books as well.
It also makes no mention of the 15m soft debt consideration to Davies based on future success.
I know that there is at least one serious investor out there, but let’s face it, they're not going to go for this deal and who's to blame them.

lots of bullshit but the bit in bold smacks of 'moving in the same circles'

Can't see anyone being interested unless they are a fan or have some connection to the club. As others have said we are still losing money and probably heading back to league one. The best time to get any buyer would have been the last close season and I guess no one was interested then. If no buyer comes in I suppose we carry on stumbling along hand to mouth with freebies and loans. Not a great position but we still have a club.

It was still too messy then

At least now, it seems that things are clean with BM on side, DH out of the way

Is the owner of Everton going to get his £1bn pounds back when he's paid £100m to save them from relegation every year and then built a brand spanking new stadium?

Football club ownership is a fools game where no one is making a profit.

It's bad in the premiership it's even worse outside of that.

However new owners still keep rocking up for some reason (wolves, Leeds etc)

So there's hope for us yet

Yes I suppose that's a positive. We can only hope.

Usmanov has offered Stan Kroenke £2bn for his shares in Arsenal.

I'm guessing Ken thought it would be a struggle but not as bad as it's started

Keep things ticking over and hovering around the bottom 5 or 6 and there is potentially a good investment for someone.

But it's not looking that way and Now he's thinking shit

Ken hasn't just plucked a figure of £25m out of thin air. He's got professional advisors working for him and they will have advised using a number of different methods what the club is worth (and how to initiallly position it).

If a deal was agreed at £25m then on a debt free cash free basis the actual amount that Ken would receive would be less the value of the different loans in the company and any break fees (blu marble etc) and any contingent fee owed to ED on a sale (though I thought it was all based on performance not sell on).

Whatever is left over, i.e. What Ken gets is a fair market value for his work in turning the club around. When he took over it's market value was £0, no fucker wanted it, he's put in 2 years of hard graft to 'turn it around' and whatever he gets for it now will again be market value. In simple terms the difference (less borrowings) is the market value of his work.

Had a look on right move for 4 star hotels and football stadiums but can't seem to find anything?

Eddies final paragraph sums it up. Everything is worth what someone will pay for it. When KA rocked up he may have got a bargain but he may have got a gold mine. But no one else wanted it.

Now he might make a load of money he might not depends what someone else is prepared/ capable to pay. It is impossible to value a football club by any traditional means so the value is simply what someone will pay.

Ken will not pocket £25m though.

Both.

These moving in the same cirle type people fail to see that £25m is not much more than a decent player at this level. If a serious buyer comes forward, they really really aren't going to worry about the odd 500k here and there.

The bloke is a complete moonman. Preferred us in admin. Says enough.

Sharp as a freshly ironed shirt our Ken , priced about right imo , will Eddies debt remain after any potential deal ?

He is right. But the bids can go up as well as down.

Have we been bought yet?

Ken needs to sell before we go down or keep us up. I am backing him to keep us up. TeamKen. :)

Ken's ace.

He lets people billy bullshit and then releases a perfectly timed statement to make them look like absolute bellends.

he prob thought we are going down

its a bottomless pit this football lark sell now

whats it worth when we go down  £10/£15 mill

It's all irrelevant, especially with us losing money every month, but out of interest, how much did the stadium cost to build? I have £35m in my head.

Mental when you consider we also have a hotel, academy, training ground etc. on top of that and how much £35m in 1997 equates to now.

Anyway, as we all know, the game is flooded with multi millionaires. We're a struggling 2nd tier small-medium sized club, with two absolute giants on our doorstep.

Everytime I venture Bolton way I see a United shirt and it boils my piss. I take it personally as to why we're in such a mess. With the population of the town and surrounding areas, if the Manc clubs were a little further afield, I'd expect we'd have at least double the fanbase we have now.

Although they may have a bigger catchment area, surely we're a more attractive proposition than Barnsley for instance in the long term? Losses aside obviously.

The football club has been up for sale for years. Since 2007/8 - Eddie would have sold to a suitable buyer. It was obvious that Ken would also sell if someone had the money and will.

The fact a brochure has been made and a price calculated to buy it debt-free, changes nothing at all. But now, the moonmen on twitter will think the club will be sold within a week. And when it isn't there will be a lot of conspiracy theories abound.

Ken never hid the fact that once he assumed full control he'd look for further investment ideally, or if anyone was willing and able, outright buyers. This is literally what he's said every time he's been asked by fans. Guess Iles didn't bother going to those Q&As. And the twitter moonmen didn't listen.
