It also doesn't help when a new government gets in and 50% of the population are hoping that they crash and burn, and doing everything in their irritating power to jump on every last thing they're not happy with.

"HELLO!". I give you the manifesto of the Remoaners right there.

They never change - it has always been so.

Without waffling on about forriners and boats, as it wont touch the sides, whats the solution

Same as it ever was. Tax the middle

Can't argue with this. Labour are expert at this and always have been.

The highest ever tax burden in this country was in 1981-82.

I’ll let you explain to the class who was in charge then😜

We need to pay more tax if we want everyone to be happy, including all the scroungers.

It's dead simple.

Most people knew that before the election. Keir told them that wouldn’t be the case though. 🤷🏻

Never nice seeing anyone cry.

Doesn't matter which route it comes from mate. It's bloody tedious. You can't run a country if you change your leader every 12 months.

FWIW - I wanted to be proved wrong by Brexit and wanted it to be a success. I'd even want Reform to be a success if they ever got in.

It's just the constant nit picking and drudgery that bugs me.

Agree with Gonzo - not nice to see RR in that kind of state in the commons either. I'm not a huge fan of a huge detractor either way, but the amount of shit that gets slung her way is abominable.

We've got to find a way to come together as a country. We're slowly turning into a pathetic excuse and ripping ourselves apart. That's all of our responsibilities - no matter who you vote for!

At least she’s passionate.

All I remember the last lot doing was giggling and laughing whilst folk died.

Don't forget giving their mates and pub landlords massive contracts for worthless shite while clapping doctors and nurses for carrying on with no PPE.

The dawn of realisation. Never ever vote for socialists.

Lie with dogs and you get fleas.

You think Starmer and his cronies are socialist? They're barely to the left of David Cameron nevermind fucking socialists

Agreed

Thank fuck

Would make Tony Blair a neo nazi :)

It’s a privilege to serve as an MP in this country.

Some people treat it as such.

And some people are just privileged.

I know whose side I’m on.

Evidence based research won’t work on this chap.

He’ll just accuse the study writers of being communists instead.

Like this?

We can all pick a report, based on research to back one view or another.

Strangely, both groups behind studies, seem to have some similarities in their world views (environment for example).

The ethos behind tax justice is very much along the lines of 'tax the fuck out of people with money', which fundamentally doesn't work once it gets too high.

That has been shown the world over.

Who’s Sam Barker the Freelance journalist and where is he getting that figure from? Millionaires have been escaping to tax havens for decades.

Thats a very simplistic summary of their report. Historical trends show there’s plenty evidence of a fair tax system coinciding with lower inequality & improved public services.

It’s more about fairness than ‘taxing the fck’ out of those with money. There are countless wealthy people currently using loopholes to avoid tax. This is costing us billions.

The rich avoiding tax should pay their share, & those scamming the welfare system should also be held to account.

If you’re flying private jets everywhere you should also be taxed heavily & if your industry is one of the biggest polluters - up the tax as well. It’s only fair.

 Nothing wrong with tax justice.

Nice doesn't come into it. If you can't handle the heat and all that.

We saw a little of PMQ's live and thought she'd been out on a bender and came straight to work from there. The opposition parties will taste blood in the water and up the pressure now.
