Site Supporter Cheese Posted February 18, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted February 18, 2020 I'm calling it early. Within 5 years there'll be a campaign calling for a referendum on our membership of the WTO. ^ Sarcasm.
Members bolty58
Take no notice. Simply opening shots across the bows to try to establish a commencing negotiating position. Much as I dislike the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, they aren't stupid enough to blow their chances of a deal which benefits them more than it benefits the UK. They'll rapidly learn that the current government won't be the pushover in the image of previous versions as they no doubt hoped.

kent_white
Europe's a big continent Miami. And there's 500 million people in the EU. I imagine there's at least 10 things going on like this across its member states every day. That many people and there's always going to be a certain number of people who are disgruntled about something or other. It's a big jump from some farmers protesting about the price of oranges to the imminent collapse of the whole project. Anyhow - we're out now. My focus has switched to making a success of things from our vantage point. You could call me a lot of things - but above everything else I'm a pragmatist.
