spot on mate.

Did anyone tell Sweep that China aren't in the EU anyway....💣 🐟 🐠 🎏 🎣 🐡

So the deals that the EU have agreed with China, with regards to tariffs, will still definitely apply to the UK once we leave the transition period in 9 days time, and also us shipping back into the EU won't be affected either.........that's good to know, I'll get onto the phone to the Italians now and try to get that order back 🙂

Your health will improve on a fish diet as well. It’s a win win.

There's an upside to everything, I already eat a lot of fish anyway, so if it comes down in price, then that's a bonus 🙂

In reality, it'll only really be poor people who suffer over the next few months/years, my job should ultimately be OK, as it's a global industry, once these little issues of shipping to the EU are ironed out over the next 4 or 5 months, then it'll be OK

indeed.

Anyway, haven't you got a thatch to attend to or a gutter to clean or something, rather than faffing around on here, now be away with you, or I'll set Cheese on you, or even better, Spider, so he can teach you a lesson and keep his flawless record against you in tact 😀

You need to fish better than buddy re those Bill and Ben, buy a half decent rod 😃

I don't do thatched roofs, a totally different game and art. Then again, no thatchers will do our stuff.

Nah, if I was to guess, we'll take an economic hit for the next 5 maybe 10 years. Transport and general fucking about at ports and working out the new systems and paperwork within 6 months - we'll probably pay a bit more for stuff, but it'll get here when we want/need it to

Just do it.

I did of sorts.

Same here. As you say of sorts. Flying around Europe business class visiting suppliers ended with the relocation of Hicks in CZ. Forced me to spend the last 20 years doing something I enjoy. Time for a new challenge now though. COVID allowing.

Yep unfortunately it’s always folk at the bottom End who suffer. In some ways you can see the merits is socialism. However if that means I become a scrubber as well then it’s not so appealing

That's the spirit, good to see it's sinking in now 😉 😜

quite a few thatched roof places in our village, somebody I know just had their house done and it cost them over £25K, apparently it needs doing every 25 years or so. Also, as you'd imagine, the house insurance is fucking immense. It looks lovely though. It's a proper old world craft that, quite impressive to watch them doing it, it took about 3 of them about 3 weeks to do. I'm sure he said that the blokes were on £375/£400 day rate, which isn't bad really, especially as you were lucky if the lazy buggers did more than 5 hours graft a day

Done right, new opportunities should open up for poorer people. Whether they are prepared to do the work is another question.

We both know the answer that applies to the majority of those you refer to. They aren’t interested in working.  It’s the job of the state to provide for them in their minds.

I'm not sure I've ever said much different, it's good to see that you're acknowledging that we might be in for 5 or 10 years of economic hit 😁

As I've said, I don't give a fuck about the future generations and the prosperity of the UK in 50 years time, it's my life I'm arsed about, I'd rather it wasn't made any more difficult for the next ten years than it needs to be, but not much we can do now. If it get's too shit, and I don't like it, I'll just leave the country, which is an option that is open to a lot of people. I'm finding myself more and more pragmatic about it

I bet you've seen some rather unkempt thatches in your time as well 😁

Always said we'd see an initial economic hit, not too sure it's going to be 5 or 10 years,  just good to see you know it will be fine, and we can eat chips n fish without worrying about starving 😀

Ironically, they're the type who have the audacity moan at our prices. Told one or two to go and fuck themselves....DMBs you'll be glad to hear 😃

5 or 10 years.

People our age can't afford a 10 year hit to our pensions though.

I don't give a shite about anyone else, my quality of life may be impacted and that is simply unacceptable.

My kids can fend for themselves in ten years.

No definitive proof though it will take that long though is there ?

Shouldn't have voted leave anyway should you ? 🐟 😉

You just said it is likely.

As one of the visionaries, I'll take your word.

I voted leave because I was told it'd be a piece of piss - we'd have handwringing Europeans begging for our business and paying double for our gear.

5 fucking years to get a deal. Sheeesh.
