You wouldn't get injured mate, freezing like you did, locals thought you were a new statue 😆

Not surprised with all that adhesive stuff stuck on the sole of my boots, I couldn't budge. 😄

Some interesting facts from the hoc a week or two back, during the coal debate.

The UK is almost self sufficient in scrap steel, the issue with using it again is the relative newness of the electric arc furnace technology.

Coal used in the manufacturing process of new steel and also indirectly in recycling.

A push for us to use our own coal (new mine) until the capacity for recycling is fully up and running, instead of importing it. Made sense.

LW could come out of retirement and be another left winger to stop bleating

Not that time mate, the one on the main roof, when you lay down on it spreadeagled 😄

The perverse thing about the bit I saw, was that it was being talked about at length from 4 mps; one from Workington, one from Durham, one from Mansfield and one in the potteries.

All from heavy industrial backgrounds/families and all Conservative. LW would have been sick.

His little peepers will be burning now pal.

Joking aside, what were the chances of production starting again, did they give any figures etc ?

I watched that BBC programme on the one near Ferrybridge, pretty sure they had plenty left there. Would it make economic sense to reopen them ?

Would you say these are doing ok mate ?

Maybe our itk rutman should look elsewhere for a position ? He could retrain and get out of his depressive mode

They might as well make sofas or car tyres, they certainly don’t make the products we need.

Not doing very well here are you 😁

Must admit I had some enjoyable times, that tall building what we worked on in Rock Ferry, the views were stunning overlooking the Mersey.

A proposed new one iirc, up in Cumbria. Seems to be some opposition, but the point was we were still needing it and would be for some time until new production methods available.

I suppose the concern would be that it might slow the development of new facilities, but if they're bringing the coal in anyway, then use our own. Saves on transport (co2 emissions).

Not looked at the figures, but it sounded economically viable certainly.

Might be worth a browse in case there is a potential opening for some investment..

23 minutes.

I think the departure of Salford has made you lose your edge, your sharpness.

Never mind.

You’ll be back, eventually.

That was a good point you made earlier again re co2 emissions 👍

Folk want it both ways it seems without realising.

New strain, who in Kent is in cahoots with Wuhan? This a direct supply chain attack!

Seriously though, can this year get any worse? I feel for those who can even spend Christmas with anyone now.

Every fucker has a duty to get this sorted now, we have even bigger worries that have dwarfed the enormous issues of brexit. Perfect storm, sorry you WTO lunatics, we don't need this right now.
