I’m sure we will be fine, a free trade deal is hardly the iron curtain.

Deary me. We shall see in the coming months...

What do you think about Scotland looking to do exactly the same thing with their biggest trading partner? Out of interest?

I think it's fucking mental. What do you think about it, out of interest?

I hope you enjoy being the 1st country to have peace-time trade barriers erected by their closest neighbour, who happens to be the largest trading bloc on the planet.

Or does it not work both ways?

Now of course it was our decision, but was it thrust upon us by a calculated EU all those years ago when Cameron came back with a handful of beans?

Not that any of that matters now.

Not surprising he’s been grated cheese for quite a while now.

You do understand that the new regulations in that tweet are a TINY aspect of the new Trade Agreement we have with the EU, don't you?

I think it’s the wrong thing to do I’ve clearly said that. I think it’s economic suicide without a suitable trade deal being struck with the “uk” and without agreement to allow Scotland to rejoin the EU. If they don’t have that agreement then I fear for Scotland in the interim period as the reliance on oil revenue and taxation just isn’t viable at present.

Yet you voted to Leave the EU, with the exact same consequences....

Presumably, oil revenues would need to be split post separation, or compensation paid to the UK.

After all, exploration has been a UK funded activity.

Yes,  why didn’t Islam identify something that’s going to cause a serious issue. Perhaps you can point out something of grave concern.

Not sure who owns the actual sea bed tbh. If it’s Scotland then UK are effectively a tenant and anything they spend on it will Be sunk when that tenancy ends? I’m not sure mate

Why have you highlighted only part of my sentence? That gives a false context to what I actually said doesn’t it. Highlight the next bit to give the full context.

Because the rest of it related to Scotland leaving the UK, rather than the UK leaving the EU. I thought you were a man of logic?

You asked me a question about Scotland leaving the uk so why would you cut out half my answer on the basis it “relates to Scotland leaving the uk”?

that is completely illogical. You must see that

The bed would be Scottish, but the equipment and previous investment the UK's.

I would imagine that it would need to be compensated for if Scotland was to keep future revenues.

Either that or continue to split them.

Wouldn't make much sense to take the rigs back, and leave a leg in place as their contribution. :)

What’s that got to do with the trade issues you’ve raised?

I didn't raise any particular issues - I just posted some trivial yet damaging regulations that indicate how our future dealings with the EU affect us. You asked me to point out something of grave concern.... I assume you think it's a good thing that we're withdrawing from Europol? If that's your opinion, it's perfectly fine of course.

For the same reason you are.

Shooting the breeze and enjoying the future free of the EU?

We were discussing the grated cheese issue, suppose you’ve no grave concerns over these type of issues, and regarding Europol, do you seriously believe the eu won’t be wanting to mutually share intelligence with the arguably the best country in the world for this type of information.

Would you want the UK government to share all our intelligence information with other countries for nothing in return?
